Q: can you use these in place of a wash mitt?

sure, these are microfiber towels that work great for interior & exterior of cars so you can use them to wash a car, but you can't put your hand inside

Q: Edgeless….does that mean they will start unraveling? Using them as kitchen towels.

We have not had any issues with the edges unraveling on this towel.

Q: would these be good for applying and buffing wax?

For applying wax maybe,but for buffing edgeless 365 are much better

Q: Are these appropriate for removing ceramic coating removal?

Yes they are thats is why I bought them. They are very good
