This little device is a game-changer for insect bites! I was skeptical at first, but it really works—just a few seconds of heat and the itching stops almost instantly. It does hurt a little bit, but it's a heck of a lot better than having to scratch all day. It’s small, easy to use, and perfectly little enough to keep in a bag for hikes or summer trips. No more scratching or swelling. Totally worth it if mosquitoes love you as much as they love me!

We were heading back to Antigua for two weeks and I'm sure the mosquitos were planning a welcome back party. They loved me last year! In the past, I used an old trick I had learned a decade or two ago about using the back of a spoon immersed in boiling water to sooth bug bits. It works well but isn't practical. Before heading out on our trip I decided to see if there was a device that could work in the same way and, lo and behold, came across this gem. Very easy to use with two timer settings, 3 seconds and 6 seconds. We always used 6 seconds and you can definitely feel it. The first few seconds feel great and the last couple seconds can seem long depending on the sensitivity of the area, but it was never unbearable. The end of the device has a small ceramic disk that is heated by two AA batteries. In 80% of the cases after a bite, one application of the device was all that was needed to eliminate the itch. In some cases, we would use it 2-4 times though we couldn't figure out a pattern as to why 10-20% of the bites needed more than one application. Being perfectly honest, this device removed the only negative aspect of visiting the island. I can't recommend it enough! It will be a standard item to pack on all our trips.

This product is amazing! I get covered in mosquito bites every summer, so I keep this in my pocketbook now&it's ready in just a few seconds. I've used it on brand new bites (which it DOES work better on), but I've used it on day old bites, as well&it still surprisingly works to alleviate the itch&welping. I have only used it on mosquito bites atm. I also have a teen I have used it on&it works good for her too. But I have to use it in particular places with my 4 yr old..there definitely is a burning/stingy feeling when using this device, so I only use it for half the time of the sensitive skin setting&only on the not-so-tender areas on her body. She knows it will make it not itch..so she doesn't cry or anything when it's applied, the sting isn't that bad...its just uncomfortable. I do believe, hands down, that the stinging/burning feel of using this device is so much better than the downside of itching constantly, welped up places that are hot to the touch& possibly get infected..this device has erased all of those issues for my household now. Would recommend to all families, but not use on any children under the age of 3 in my opinion. Value for the money was totally worth it!! It's made very well, not cheap made@all. Seems to be made like a $60+device. No smell when using. Check your pkg thoroughly when you open it@first. The batteries ARE included, they're just hidden in the box it comes in.

Wow! I love this bug bite zapper so much I already bought a back up.23andme says I'm more likely to attract mosquitos and I do get bit a LOT unless I douse myself with DEET, yuck! Plus, I have super sensitive skin, that breaks out with satellite hives from even minor skin irritation. Add to that, I'm allergic to bug bites which swell up and itch for a week or more even with cortisone or calamine. So when I venture outside, well, I'm a hot mess, right quick. LolWe just finished a cross country RV trip with plenty of opportunities to test out this big bite zapper on many, many mosquito bites for both me and my spouse. So glad I brought it! It was soooo nice not itching, or dealing with bug spray or anti itch goop all over me, and not smelling like Off the entire trip!Most of the time the itching instantly goes away after one short press of this nifty device. With bigger bites or bites I don't catch right away (because I forget to put the device in my pocket before going outside), I sometimes have to do another short press or even a long press to get the itching to stop.My husband prefers the long press but he doesn't have sensitive skin.Once it stops the itching, it's like the bites never happened! My husband had identical results.The only bites it hasn't worked so well on for us are a couple spider bites. It still reduced itching and discomfort with those bites though too, it just didn't entirely eliminate them.The batteries have lasted several weeks even with regular use. It must automatically turn off after a while if you forget to turn it off. Sure love that! Haven't had to change batteries yet.It's easy to tell when it's on, the switch displays green when on. And the active zap light is a bright blue semi-circle for a short press and a full circle for a long press so there's no confusion how long is going to zap you!And, yes, it hurts when it zaps you, some places more than others, but instant relief from the itching is SO worth it to me. It's not even an issue for me.It easily fits in a pocket. Has a nice sleek modern design and is easy to clean.My only suggestion is I wish it had a way to attach it to a key chain or a lanyard so there's less chance of it falling out of a pocket or setting it down somewhere and misplacing it. It's that important to me!I've had friends look at me weird when I use it in front of them the first few times but when they eventually get bit, they try it and it works for them too! And before you know it I'm sending them the Amazon link.This little device is a game changer!! I won't go outside without it now. I don't know how I coped before, it's like a miserable dream. Good bye stinky bug spray, red bumps, itching, and calamine lotion! I love my bug bite zapper!
