Adjustable Cone Thread Stand

Reasonably priced, sturdy and simple to assemble, this spool stand provided solutions to a couple problems I was constantly facing. First, I found that the 4 oz. thread spools I used with my commercial sewing machine did not fit on the electric bobbin winder base (too wide). This portable spool stand solved that problem for a very reasonable price. Secondly, since I am usually switching out thread spools during my sewing operation, it is nice to have an additional spool holder available that I can place right next to my sewing machine. What makes this so versatile is that the stand features an extendable rod with hook end that allows you to adjust the height of your thread feed. Every part of the stand fit together securely, the minimal instructions were clear and the product is well made. It worked exactly as it should. The only upgrade I might suggest is the addition of some silicon cabinet door bumpers to the bottom to help keep the base from moving around if the thread on the spool happens to catch as it is feeding through the top of the extendable hook. It's unlikely, but I just added them on the front end (see photo). I recommend this product.

Heavy base that keeps the stand upright. The spool holder is tall enough to go above my sewing machine. Works great for cones of thread which are more economical. Really like it!

I love this telescoping thread stand for large, cross-wound spools of thread, whether cone style or Coats and Clark "barrel" crosswound thread, which I use! I saw the reviews before I ordered this telescoping thread stand. I was searching for one that could be lowered so I could cover my sewing machine without having to cut a hole in the cover I made. It was easy to assemble with the instruction sheet. Reviews I saw were mixed, and at least one buyer said the base was too light weight, but I think the weight of it is just fine. That could depend on your sewing space and whether things fall easily. It's not going to fall over without someone actually knocking it over. I'm really happy with the way it's made and especially with the telescoping feature. I can raise it to the height of any of my three machines and lower it to cover the machine without having to unthread it. It would also be easy to pack up and take with you on a quilting retreat or to fit in a cabinet drawer. The price was great, it arrived the next day with our Amazon Prime membership. I'm very pleased with it!

My thread kept getting stuck when attached to my machine, so I bought this to keep my thread away from my machine. It is a godsend and my thread does not get stuck anymore. I would definitely recommend this product. It was easy to put together and it took about five minutes and I was ready to go. It’s definitely a game changer for my sewing. I would definitely buy again.

This product arrived nicely wra It arrived in a box with no extra wrapping. The parts inside were individually wrapped, but the best thing were the instructions. Clear, concise, with pictures. It holds the spool nicely and has solved my thread issues.
