Works better than anything yet
Surely does scare the deer awayButRequires constant vigilanceWater hose must be onStake must be secure in place, direction and height (mine tends to wobble)One must remember to TURN IT BACK ON when finished gardeningIndiscriminate spraying (cars, people)I do appreciate the ability to direct the motion sensor and water spray exactly where you want. All of my complaints are to be expected.Product works as fine. As described. Just sharing part of my gardening experience. I bought 2 for my long garden bed going down the driveway. Was able to share same hose with both. Goes to 1st one, which works and allows a second shorter hose to connect to the 2nd one. If one is triggered they both spray, which I like.I recommend these as being the most effective deer repellent I have tried, short of a chain link bubble.

Helps repel raccoons, but not completely
A little tedious to set up, but manageable. Once it is set up, you will need to tweak the adjustment of the spray to your needs. It does not completely repel raccoons... they still manage to creep their way into the spray area.

love it keeps my heron away
I got this after $30,000 of koi eaten by a blue heron kept visiting my pond ate all my very expensive koi. I was so upset and devastated and vowed Id never get another fish until I knew I could keep the last few remaining ones I had safe from that danm bird. so I ordered this and i actually has been great at detecting motion and keeping that vile bird away from my babies! It works great, the only thing I would add is that you do have to keep a hose connected to it so do not get this if that will be a problem for you. I wish it maybe had an attachment that it could spray from a reservoir tank or maybe from the pond itself and that would make it unbeatable but a very small price to pay in my opinion to keep my fish babies safe. and to boot its a fair price. Oh one last thing to note it did make my water bill go up a few dollars but that should be a given because duh you'll be using more water. Oh funny note, it scared the absolute crap out of my poor doggo (because the motion sensor is pretty wide, my pond is about 5 or 6 feet wide and 12 foot in length and it catches motion all in and around my pond) and she got the idea pretty quickly not to go in that general direction anymore but it in no way hurts them, its just a strong blast of water maybe a little less then a power washer and slightly more then the strong setting on a hose.

Worker Great ..until it didn't
I really liked this product. Deer would munch on my garden plants; this device definitely helped keep them away. It worked my startling them. Pop sound when the valve kicked on and rapid sound of the move of the rainbird type sprinkler which travels very fast.Pro: sensor activates, certainly "senses" , no initial troublesfor sure kept deer out of my gardenBattery life for 4 AAs was pretty good. about 5-6 months before I changed them.Con: the foot spike push peg for pushing into the ground is very short, maybe just 2 inches laterally. This might be designed for packing into the box, but 4 inches laterally on at least one side would be easier to push in to the ground.Mostly plastic; in hot Florida un would be concerned how long before plastic started deteriorating .especially the adjustment rings for width of the circle spray. was still good at 11 months; what about 3 or 5 years? No indicator when the batteries are low. hence, your sprinkler may be unknowingly "unarmed"; not a deal breaker ... chnage your batteries every 4 months and should be good (Unless you know it has been activated very often, then change sooner.Sensor - had a difficult time making the "sense distance" range short enough ... but rather too sensitive than not enough. Now the big problem- it has suddenly stopped. I changed all batteries. Either the sensor has failed, the valve has valved or the battery electronics compartment has been comprised and shorted out. I recall it being well protected, but now I only see seam seal on one side instead of all around. may have rotted out. I am ordering another as I like the product. I will contact manufacturer to see if they can help me diagnosis and get back to working. If easy fix . I will upgrade my review to at least 4 stars.

Need to lean it forward to spray cats on the ground
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this to rid myself of the the cat and cat poop that is in a very narrow area between a hydrangea bush and my house. The sprayer sprays upward, into the air, like 4 feet and above. But I need it to spray toward the ground so I had lean the spike in the ground forward about 15 degrees so the sprayer can point about 1 feet above the ground. I want to hit that cat square in the face/body, not shoot the water 3 feet over its head. I have attached pics to show the narrow area I am talking about and the angle I spiked in the dirt so it can point toward the ground. That is my only CON, ie, there isn't a knob to adjust the sprayer to point downward. Other than that, the motion detection is working, the product is high quality and sturdy, and I giggle every time I hear it spray (so it's probably murderizing some poor rabbit :). So far no cat poop 👍👍😁 Very happy with this. I only deducted 1 star b/c it took a while to figure out how to angle it downward to cat-level.UPDATED 1 YEAR LATER: It's almost exactly one year: and it doesn't work anymore. It's a lot of money to last for just one season. Bummer.
