For the price, I have zero complaints about this pin vise/hand drill. The handle is solid and durable, and allows for a good grip. The chuck is decently made, with jaws that meet almost perfectly square. I find it works best with bits that are 1.5 mm diameter or larger, but it can maintain a grip on smaller bits as well. It's a faster alternative than using a hand drill that has collets for the bits since I often change bits when doing hobby work. But, it does not maintain as firm a grip on the bit as a collet does. For the price, I'm very satisfied with the quality and performance.

I am very impressed with the General Tools 93 Adjustable Pin Vise that I received . It is very well made and it functions as required . The operation of the 3-jaw chuck is smooth and effective . The chuck holds the bits securely and centered with no wobble . It is a heavy tool , but the weight improves the handling of it . Based on some other reviews they must have received defective units , but the unit that I received is perfect in form and function !

En distintos tipos de trabajo a veces se requiere un maneral como este para usarlo como escariador ( con su punta adecuada) o para hacer pequeños agujeros con brocas, por ejemplo en electrónica si perforas con un taladro eléctrico una fenólica luego se rompen las diminutas brocas con el peso del taladro, en cambio con este maneral quedan perfectas. El material y su construcción es de 10 y puede sujetar desde las brocas más pequeñas hasta brocas un poco mayores de 1/4. Muy recomendable su compra!

Finally a decent pin-vise. I have been using cheep and cheerful pin-vises for many years. I bought this one for a decent price. It is great in the hand and not small and fiddly like the cheap one. And, it grips the drill like a champ. No slipping.
