I t is a very challenging game that is hard for the Germans to win. Watching videos on U Tube is very helpful in getting different strategies to use.

Love it's game, fun and challenging game to play

I've played this game countless times and have yet to win. I don't think you can win this game without cheating.

It was worth purchasing and I enjoyed playing it, but did find it was a bit simplistic and didn’t provide enough opportunities to make decisions.

Field Commander: Rommel is one of a series of solitaire wargames based on famous military commanders: Rommel, Napoleon, Alexander, Nimitz. This game is actually 3 games in one, each complete with its own mounted board and unit counters. The boards cover the invasion of France in 1940, the North African campaign of 1941, and D-Day. Some of the counters are shared between the different scenarios, but the instructions are very clear as to which units are used in each scenario.The scenarios are fairly simple, with well laid-out turn order and an easy to use AI for the Allies (you're always commanding the Axis forces). If you're thinking about getting into wargames, and you're not sure you'll have a gaming partner, this is a pretty good option, I think. The rules are pretty straightforward, and the counter density is very low.Be warned, however. The Allies are HARD to beat, so don't get discouraged.

Like all DVG products this contains top quality components. The game, just like the real thing, can get into a stalemate kind of thing.
