Ordered this for my daughter for her 11th birthday, she was so excited... plugged it in and it worked for about 5 minutes then stopped heating up and wouldn't work again. Returning for a full refund.

I have now owned 2 of these, one for my classroom and one for my own children. The one in my classroom started miss loading the filament and popping everything out of place, causing the melted filament to end up crammed inside the chamber which caused other problems; it lasted less than a semester. The one at home stopped heating up after the 3rd use...I give up on this toy, it was a cool idea but it's just cheaply put together.

Meh. It has a learning curve but you can find better ones out there. You get way you pay for.

It has given the kids lots of creative entertainment. We've had no issues with the device after several months of use.

They work pretty well. Luckily I ordered 13 of them for my classroom, as the first one blew up on the very first try! The filament jammed on the first try, filled the nozzle, and pushed the front end out of it.

Filament comes out very slow even at highest speed. Hard to get material to stick to a surface to build a part. Instructions are poorly translated into English. While not a major issue, it says the red light will turn blue when tip is properly heated. Ours turned green. Not a big deal, but proved to be a leading indicator of other problems like a slow deposition.

the pen is a great concept, and a wonderful gift. The downside side is I bought two seperate pens at the same time for two different people. They opened it on Christmas, worked for about a week and a half and they both stopped working on the same day. 3D pens are a lot of fun but I'll be doing more research before buying another.

It has a weird burning smell, and lets out smoke when you use it. I can't really use it very well, but I am unsure if that is because I am bad at 3D drawing. The instructions are difficult to follow.
