Good product, needs to work on customer service
Great product, easy to use. Company needs to provide alternative billing services ( they only have Apple store). I wanted to charge my business account and could not do it. Needs to work on customer service. I sent the owner an email( he sends you a few emails to get you started- really helpful) he notes in his email to reply if you need help. I replied in day 1 about the billing. Did not hear when I received the second email so I replied again with my question and went to website and sent a note via their support feature. Took over a week for a response ( only Apple store). But still a great product

Quality Notebook but Full Use Requires $50/year Subscription That's Only Available Through Apple
I'll divide this review into two different sections - one about the notebook itself and the other about the app that is supposed to be used with it.I'm happy with the notebook. The cover has a soft, almost velvety feel that I really like. The pages are made of nice, thick paper that has a feel of quality to it. I'm a fan of writing on graph or grid paper so I like the grid layout and size on the pages. The pages are numbered on the front and back with grids on both sides so that you can utilize every inch of paper. The notebook looks good as well. I'm not a huge fan of the color orange, but the edges of the pages transitions from black at the top to orange at the bottom which looks better than I would have thought. The only negative is that the cover bends quite easily with regular use so after using for a very short amount of time the covers are bent upwards so they do not close completely. As a result, I purchased the Thinkers band and pen holder to go around the outside to keep it closed. This works well.Next, I'll move on to the app. First, I am very disappointed that the app is only available on Apple products so you cannot utilize the app with an Android. I loathe Apple phones, but my employer cruelly makes us carry iPhones so I was able to download the app on my work cell. The notebook is already on the expensive side, but I thought that the features promoted in the product description would make it worth the price. I held onto that thought until I realized that you can only use the most basic features of the app unless you subscribe to the app for $49.99 every year. When you tally all of that up you get a sinking feeling in your stomach when you suddenly realize that you are paying $80 for a notebook! It sinks a little further when you realize that if you want to continue using the notebook and app you are in $50 a year subscription purgatory. The app is pretty cool but it needs some work. The formatting of the pages you scan in always needs to be cleaned up so that it is usable so you have to make sure you have a few minutes to get that done so that your notes are searchable. My handwriting is fairly clean looking and far from chicken scratch but the app seems to have trouble recognizing several words and letters every time I scan something in. I am trying to adapt my handwriting to the app instead of the other way around. To summarize, this is a quality notebook. The cover and paper is as nice, if not nicer, than just about all of the other notebooks I've tried in the past in the $30 price range. The problem is that you aren't in the $30 dollar price range after you pay for the app - you're in the $80 price range. Would I buy it again to try it out? Probably, but that's because I'm like a ferret or possibly a crow - I like shiny things. Will I continue to pay $50 a year to subscribe to the app? Unless they continue to work on and improve the app that's going to be a hard no.

Great for fountain pens
I’ve been searching for years for a notebook that is ideal for use with fountain pens. So many notebooks allow the ink to bleed through, making it very tough to read notes on back to back pages. The Thinkers Smart notebook has eliminated almost all fountain pen bleed-through.

Great notebook BUT
Love the notebook but don’t like how they aren’t upfront that the app has a subscription fee.

It’s a decent, average notes book
The notebook itself looks cool, but the cover is prone to fingerprints and I’m not a huge fan of the orange at the bottom of the pages. The paper weight is the real issue for me, it seems pretty nice at first but I’ve had issues with all my pens bleeding through to the back pages, and in some case as with the Zebra Midliners it’ll bleed through multiple pages. This notebook also doesn’t include a band to save your place and bind the notebook closed when you’re traveling with it, so you have to be careful not to tweak the cover or it’ll look even worse. It also has no pen holder (unless you want to pay the extra $14.99 to purchase one). Also, the soft cover makes it very difficult to write on the left side pages when you’re at the start of the notebook because there’s no support, I’ve had to grab another notebook to place under it just so I could write on these pages.Bottom line here is that for $30 there’s nothing special about this notebook, and it doesn’t include some of the standard features that even the cheap $9 notebooks include. The app is not even worth downloading. Save yourself the money and get a different notebook.

Love this note pad.
Love this note pad. Very simple to keep clean notes and drawings. I don’t use the app too much but it’s really cool to scan notes in and search for the text

Average notebook with a useless app
Based on a barrage of ads and so many positive reviews I bought this. I wasted by 29 bucks. The notebook is "ok" but nothing special. It does lie flat when you are working on the middle pages but it's just a basic notebook that flips closed when you are on the first few pages. The paper is ok, but nothing special. Then there's the app. Don't believe the promises! The conversion to digital is useless. It does not preserve line breaks, essential for my work. It does not translate numbers, phone numbers in particular, accurately and don't try to save an email address. Most annoying? I needed to create a new folder but the "new" button was stuck behind a banner add for the paid version of the app. If that's the care they have for their customers, then you are just another bunch of hawkers rather than innovators. It would be one thing if this app was just useless, but it's frustrating to even try to use. Good old reliable paper and file folders actually work and require much less time to organize and no need to proof read carefully to make sure it was digitized accurately. iPhone already has a way to take a picture of a page and save it to a file. So you don't need the app and you don't need the over priced notebook.
