Nice examples of what specific EF goals can look like when working with your SSC or IEP Team. I appreciate these are a great starting point for crafting specific goals around executive function needs.

I thought this would have a different layout, I was expecting to be able to quickly find what I wanted. I was unable to quickly find goals in areas needed. I was expected to read entire book. It is quicker to do an online search for free.

I found this book extremely useful for IEP goals. The lists are categorized into different objectives. Very easy to apply.

When struggling to find the words or the best way to present a measurable goal this is a perfect reference.

Very helpful in obtaining ideas for executive functioning skills, which seem to be an area not well understood by my child's school district. While I'm reasonably educated and know what my child (who is on the autism spectrum) struggles with, I never seem to have the ability to convey it properly let alone offer goal suggestions. Considering staff is keen to writing only 1-3 goals on the IEP, I was on the hunt to figure out what to propose. Searching the internet provided bits and pieces, a goal example here or there, but nothing comprehensive. I also like how in each section of goals, the author defines what each "area" entails, for example response inhibition and metacognition. My mind is now eased a little and I feel better prepared (will never fully feel that way due to requiring attorney involvement in the past). The author has other books to consult as well with additional goal ideas - some do crossover.

This book has good goals and objectives, but it's okay. I'm sure I will use it occasionally, but I think there are better books and resources that can provide better goals and objectives to use in IEPs.
