The cutter cuts very well very easy for copper cables just like it should be just never use it to cut steel cables or wires. The crimper and the copper lugs to crimp on it seems to push the copper out to the open side before it bottoms out and holds down onto your wire what I do is go like 3/4 of the way and then rotate it 90° and try crip it again to help push the squeezed part of copper back in towards the copper cabling so your heat shrink tubing could cover it up and protect from cutting and shorting out on anything nearby if there's nothing near it to rub on it to short through it don't worry about trying to keep the copper from sticking out from one side from the crimper Jaws. There are also crimpers for the European type open barrel they're called in a crimper that works with those kind should work very well too.

Should have bought these years ago
Great for battery and alternator cable making. So easy to use and better and faster than crushing with a hammer or soldering

Does the job
Used it to crimp connectors on 4awg wire. Included a picture of the correct mm to AWG size conversion. Why not just use AWG number on the tool?

Not My Style
Will definitely crimp lugs, but not my style. 🥁 Will handle 2AWG copper lugs without a problem. Will handle 8AWG crimp jobs too, but it leaves a little bit of a copper tab that I have to fold over before I heat shrink wrap it (That could be an error on my part). It'll crimp your cables without crimping your wallet. The cable cutter that came with it works real good too.

Works awesome, adjusts to size easy.
Looks expensive and impresses people when you whip it out! ; )

Works great !
I purchased this for my car audio project and dealing with oversized 0 awg wire needing lugs at the ends. This crimping tool is easy to use and makes a nice solid tight connection on everything I used it for so far .

6 and up
I bought this to rewire a boat, it served the purpose more or less. Is it easy to us? Not really, it would be if you had 3 hands. It also has a tendency to make a mess out of the lugs in the prosses of crimping and generally takes 2 or 3 crimps to get the job done. The description of size for it is wrong, it only goes down to 6 gauge. 8 gauge crimps fail and need to be boogered with vice grips.Durability is good seems solid , i did probably 20 or so crimps from 6 to 1 gauge without issue, but when it came to 8 gauge look elsewhere.
