Cracking little set, never looked back since
I took the plunge from leaving Tassimo and buying an Amazon basics coffee maker, but of course you need a measuring jug and all the extra's to make fancy coffees at home. This kit turned up and has everything you need. Great price, all the kit works and we now have a all the bits and bobs to make ourselves and guests coffee when they pop round.

Great jug, good temp gauge, bit small
It's a great jug if you want to make a very small latte or flat white but not a lot of room for expansion if you want a decent size cuppa. Nothing at all wrong with the jug just not quite tall enough. In fairness I should have bought, and have since bought, a larger jug, but for milk expansion when steaming it could do with a bit more height. Temp gauge is brilliant according to my barista trained husband and the chocolate shaker is a good size for home use. Would recommend for small mugs but if you want a decent size cuppa I'd recommend a larger version.

Might be better alternatives for the long term
I bought this right at the start of my coffee-making-at-home journey, and I'm still using it two years later.Thermometer: It's easily readable, it clips onto the side of the jug fine, if anything it's slightly too long for the jug (more an issue with the jug I would say, more on that in a minute). I probably used it about five times just to get a feel (literally) for what 70ish degrees Celsius felt like, and have barely used it since. I guess it could be used for other stuff though, maybe a meat temperature probe or something? I'm not sure. I haven't tested its accuracy, although I guess I could whip out the thermal imaging camera? If there's a way to edit this review later, I'll add that info, if not then take it anecdotally as perfectly good enough.Pointy Stick: I believe it's a latte art stylus/wand or something? I don't know, I (still) can't pour latte art so yeah. I use it daily for de-clumping coffee from the grinder before decanting into the portafilter basket.Shaker: It works fine, I use it by tilting horizontally and tapping on the bottom. No corrosion, lid's never fallen off, mesh has never gotten damaged or clogged; works perfectly fine.Jug: In my not-at-all professional opinion, it's just a tad too small, it's a 12oz jug... But 12oz is how much milk you need to make a standard coffee, so factoring in the fact that the milk is being rolled around in a whirlpool fashion, it can start spilling over the top towards the end of steaming. As previously mentioned, it's also too short to comfortably house the thermometer AND still give a good degree of tilting angle.Verdict: It has done me absolutely fine for coming up on two years now, so definitely not a bad purchase. Long-term though, you would probably be better off investing in a slightly larger jug (not sure what the next common size up would be), foregoing the thermometer altogether (correct temperature is "ouch I can't keep my finger on the side of the jug" + 5 to 10 seconds more), replacing the pointy stick with a cocktail stick/toothpick, and getting a separate shaker if you're desperate for chocolate dusting.

does the job and reasonable price.
This is a great milk jug with the temperature gauge, Making proper coffee you should never heat the milk up over 60 to 70 degrees 70 is a little hot and may cook the mild making it clumpy.Don't go by hand as hey say touch it till its too hot, we all have different sensitivity levels. I found before this I made coffee too cold. now its just about perfect! This item I wash out with hot water each time and every so often put it in the dishwasher and it comes out shiny and new looking.

Great milk jug
I use this milk jug for my at home espresso machine. It's a really good size jug for steaming and frothing a single serving of milk. I fill mine up to the bottom of the spout with milk and it never overflows, when frothing for cappuccinos. I'm really happy with this jug, especially since it came with a thermometer, shaker, and latte art pen. They're all really simple to use, and the chocolate shaker distributes the powder well on drinks. The jug is slightly hard to clean with a usual sponge, but with a handled sponge would be very easy to clean.

Perfect!
Overall great value. We drink a lot of coffee in our house using a ground coffee machine with milk wand. This is perfect for making a morning coffee in a large cappuccino cup. Handy markings on the inside of the jug give a good guide to how much milk you need and the thermometer is great for ensuring you heat the milk to the perfect temperature.Build quality is great for such a low price. I just had to recommend this to my mother in law who uses hers everday too.

Good jug for beginners
I bought the jug when I started my journey with coffee. At first I only used it to pour the french-press steamed milk into it and try to make some latte art. At this time I couldn't complain. The thermometer really helped to find the best temperature and get the best results. After I bought an espresso machine I noticed that the jug that came with the machine is a lot better in quality, a lot thicker and heavier. In comparison this product is quite low in quality, but it still does the job. It has a bit rounder spout than some more expensive ones, but I think it's a good product for beginners.
