Cheap, efficient, and small
Was recommended by a co-worker. Works well. Highly recommended.

Works great even in horizontal orientation!
This vent mount is an awesome companion for a Popsocket! I’ve had mine for a week now and so far so good! Mine is on a horizontal vent and it holds well over all normal road conditions, speed bumps and the like. When mounting your vent clip, test out different slots of the vent to ensure your phone is facing a comfortable position. I use my phone with a lightning adaptor and 3.5mm six cable and the weight of that does not cause the phone to flop back to portrait orientation or upside down. The rubber feet on the vent side are not as grippy as a WizGear vent clip and is a semi slick plasticy texture. But the clips seem like they will hold up better over time and repeated removal and installs. The WizGear Mount is known to fray around the robber feet, exposing the metal prongsinside and I’ve yet to experience that either. The Popsocket on my phone slides into the mount easily and allows the phone to be vertical or horizontal without flipping around. There is not a clip or clamp to hold the Popsocket in place and works purely on friction. I am using the vent mount with an aluminum Popsocket, which is probably the slickest Popsocket, on an iPhone 8plus that is offset towards the bottom from dead center without any issues of flopping or turning upside down while navigating. The surface of mount that is in contact with your Popsocket itself is semi slick and does not offer much grippy texture. The ‘steering wheel’ shaped plastic prongs in either side of the mount is smooth as well but does a good job st keeping the Popsocket in place. Not sure what else to say, but I like it so far. It does take some getting used to sliding the phone in and out of it. When sliding your phone onto the mount, you have to start higher than you would initially think, but you’ll get the hang of it.

The best phone mount you will ever own. Not an exaggeration.
This is the best phone mount I have literally ever had. It is simple and unobtrusive, so it’s not in the way when you don’t have your phone there — it really just blends in with the dash. The adhesive is strong; it’s lasted me over three years of parking outdoors in the sun. It’s so easy to just slide your phone in when you hop in the car, no fiddling with adjustable arms like you have to do with other mounts. Your phone stays in place. Is gen I was doing 200+ miles of driving on poorly-maintained roads each day for work, my phone never moved out of place, even after potholes and surprise speed bumps left and right. When you remove the mount, the all you have to do is give it a strong (stronger than you think you need, to be fair) twist and the rubber adhesive peels off without a trace. I’ve used it with an iPhone X, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone 12 Pro Max without a problem. The only downside in my view is that you need to be using a PopSocket to use the mount. I don’t love having a big piece of plastic on the back of my phone, but I kept using a PopSocket just so I could use this phone mount. The only reason I’m no longer using it is that with the 12 Pro Max, I can finally upgrade to a MagSafe mount and not have the PopSocket on my phone… but I’ll confess, I don’t love the look of the MagSafe mounts much.

Perfect if you have a flat surface to mount this on your car
I bought this mount for $9.99 in July 2021. I prefer this simple type of mount to the newer mounts PopSockets sells since for some reason the newer mounts don't hold the phone still -- the phone will rotate on the mount as the car moves, which is annoying (I bought and returned a few different mounts to test which would be best).I was lucky to find a flat vertical surface at the edge of my display screen to apply this mount on my car (most cars have curved dashboards). It was a central enough location for me to mount my phone in an easily viewable angle. I followed the mounting instructions to the Tee. The mount has never fallen off. I have an iPhone 13 Pro with a heavy wallet case so I'm impressed and I hope it keeps lasting forever.

Durability
This lasted me so long, 5 years. Never fell off because of the adhesive only because the plastic piece that holds the phone finally broke after so much use. Definitely buying again

Great little mount... people say adhesive degrades in heat, but not for me!
It holds my phone nicely. I have it on a non vertical spot in my car though, so I probably won't experience the mount falling off like many seem to report. This ability to use a gentle sloping spot resulted from me chosing a place that is below the infotainment system. This is less than ideal if you want to use your phone for navigation or other relatively legit use, as it takes your eyes off the road more. But fortunately I have all the features I need built into my car, so just wanted a place where my phone could be securely placed outside of my pocket (for more comfortable drives). For my use case, it is absolutely perfect. It seems folks should be wary if sticking to a vertical place on your dashboard. Many people report the adhesive cannot survive the heat when parked and doesn't take long to fall off. I imagine the material used for the construction of the dashboard is also a major factor, but again, this has not, and likely will not, happen to me because of the conditions with which I use it.

Not perfect, but if you’re creative, it could be. Time will tell
The media could not be loaded. Worked….for a minute. But hit a slight bump or just try to pull your phone out and both Popsocket holder and your phone will end up on the floorboard.Had to “MacGyver” my louver a bit to get it to grip. Hence the 3 stars for now…(see video)Easy fix, but time will tellIf you’ve got a clear flat spot for the stick-on popsocket bracket, i’d go that route.
