My dog is sleeping again! It would appear that this supplement is helping our 16 year old dog. I am very thankful we found it! She used to wake up multiple times during the night for either water or needing to go to the bathroom. She occasionally still wakes up, but it is nowhere near the frequency as before. I was very worried about starting this supplement because my dog has such a sensitive stomach so we started very slowly. No stomach issues! Her kidney values have not been good, so I will be curious when we recheck how they are. I will post the results here once we take her kidney values again.

I won't know how well it works until my vet runs the BUN numbers on both of my dogs but since it is liquid, doesn't have to be Refridgerated, and is less expensive plus both girls like it and I have no problem getting them to eat or drink it. For one dog I put it in unsalted beef broth, and she just laps it up. For the other one I put it directly on her food and she licks her plate clean. Will revisit this after I get new numbers from my vet. We will see!

My 11 yo cat was diagnosed of stage 3 kidney failure in April during the Covid lock down. He was so thin and his appetite was so down. I was desperate to do something. The vet recommended to sprinkle Phos-bind over his favorite foods since he won't eat his kidney diet. But with this method I could use just a pinch of powder since he ate so little there was no way to meet his daily goal of 2/3 scoop of the powder.When I saw this kidney supplement I got an idea. I also needed some kind of pasty supplement to make my plan possible. So I bought Nutri-Vet Multi-Vite Multivitamin Paw Gel and this item.I mix phos-bind powder and this kidney support gold first to make a loose paste, then blend this paste to Nutri-vet gel ( it is a paste even though it says gel) . I give my cat this home-made compound every day. He doesn't like it so I had to put it on my finger and force it in to his mouth. He is given his favorite treats immediately after that to wash it down. Poor thing. It is Not fun for me to do that, but I had to. Ever since I started this my cat is looking much better.Before this routine started In May he was so weak, no interest in food and could not even jump up to my bed and hiding in my closet. I wanted him to enjoy life more , so I decided to let him out to my yard for the first time in his 11 years of life. I ordered a XS cat harness and took him out for a walk within my yard. He enjoyed feeling a warm breeze on his face, sitting under my maple tree, sometimes wondered around my garden, rolling on warm concrete etc.... his tail was high up, looking very happy. Eventually he started to wait at the door for his harness to be put on. Gradually he regained some of his strength. One day I saw him chasing my neighbor's cat that visits my yard daily, and if I brought a dish of food he ate more while outside. His activity level is not nearly as good as healthy cat, but now he comes to my bed no problem and actually he jumps up on the dresser or window hammock all the time. He is eating more and gaining weight too. I don't know which one is the contributing factor, may be the combination of all. Now in December, I no longer am able to let him out, but his appetite and strength are still like during summer.My friend noticed his body does not look as bony as before. I agree. When I hold him he feels much softer and heavier. His fur is shinny also. Since he did not eat RX kidney diet once ever since his diagnosis I can not expect his number improved, but I am happy when he looks happy.

I bought this for my 2 dogs and my cat. Ended up only giving to my cat 3 times and stopped. Ended up having to put him to sleep. I cannot say that this was the cause or not but he got really bad and couldn’t walk. He was in kidney failure for the last year though.Gave some to both of my dogs. One of my Pitties, after a few dosages was unable to jump on the stool to get to the bed and I stopped the supplement, and within 2 days she was able to get on the bed by herself.My second Pittie had a reaction to her nose and all the hair fell off and ended up scabbing over. That was the only thing different that was given to her. I stopped the supplement and within a couple of weeks she was healed, but is still missing the fur on the side of her nose.I through the supplement in the trash. I was disappointed. Not to say this might not work for other animals, but it did not work for mine.

Very fast shipping , was hoping this would help my older dog who had just been diagnosed with kidney failure. Vet said it was too late and to put her down immediately but I felt like I had to try to give her a few more months . Was not ready to let her go. Unfortunately I think I started this product too late as it just didn’t work due to the severity of her decline . I’m happy it works for so many and I really did appreciate the fast shipping .
