Simple Ceiling Rack for Garage
I just needed a simple storage solution to hang stuff on the garage ceiling and this has provided just that.I have mounted it onto the ceiling joist (studs) and it was quite simple to mount with a ladder, drill, and impact driver. It does wave side to side as you put stuff on it, but I feel confident it will be able to hold quite a lot of weight. In my case, I just stored paper boxes as I just needed floor and wall spaces.I think it is a great value for its cost.My only gripe is the fact that it is quite small, 45"x45" size. I wish it was a bit bigger for extra storage. The height is adjustable and can be hung much lower, but I needed it to clear my garage door.Pro:Simple design and installationCostSturdinessCon:Storage Size, width and length

Your garage's best friend!
Excellent storage tool! I installed this by myself and it wasn't too bad. Once it was completed, I quickly filled it up and it's holding up very nicely! I even ordered the ladder hooks for underneath to store my ladder and it just looks awesome and it's very sturdy. Just make sure you wear eye protection when drilling your pilot holes and I used screw wax to make screwing in the lag bolts a lot easier. Unfortunately I didn't have a socket bit for my drill, so I had to do it the old fashioned way, which was pretty exhausting.Tip: Disconnect the L bracket that goes into the truss if you don't have help and drive it into the truss. I actually installed it piece by piece since I was by myself. Weather you're by yourself or have a helper, installation was super simple. My only gripe is that you have to cut out the template from the back of the box. It would be nice to have the template packed with the unit. Luckily for me, the box was in decent shape when it was delivered, but if you get a box that gets beat up during delivery the template would be useless.

Seems strong but a bit wobbly side-to-side; installation is fairly simple
This product seems like a good value. It does provide a nice amount of storage space in a previously unusable area of my home: the garage ceiling! I will be using it to get a few items off my garage floor so it won't be so cluttered!Installation: I installed the product by myself - as the packaging indicated this was possible. It took about 45 minutes. It was not a difficult install by any means, but as usual, as second pair of hands would have made it easier. The biggest key to a successful installation is making sure you are driving the lag bolts into joists and not drywall only. Use a stud finder if needed. It is also possible to use a small drill bit and "search" for the joisted by drilling small holes, but this is not ideal and should be avoided if possible as it will leave several small holes in your ceiling! You'll need either a wrench or socket for the installation; I used a socket in my cordless drill to drive the lag bolts. This makes installation much easier. After that, the installation is pretty straightforward: just bolt the pieces together as indicated.Usage: The product seems quite strong. The load claim is 250LBS. It supports my 185 LB frame easily! The product feels very strong vertically, but it does wobble a little side-to-side. I don't think this is a big deal, but I'm going to buy some small brackets at the home improvement store and mount them to the Hyloft and the wall to eliminate the wobble. (I mounted my Hyloft in the corner of the garage, so walls are nearby.) This is probably not necessary, but it will give me more piece of mind!I'm happy with the purchase. It does exactly what it claims to do at a reasonable price. It has helped eliminate some clutter from my garage. I'm giving it 4 starts instead of 5 due to the side-to-side wobble.

Great Product
I had been looking for a way to get my garage cleaned out. When these went on sale, I thought I would try a couple of them. They work great! Installation is easy, but time consuming and a little awkward. I installed them myself, but it would probably be better/quicker with two people. The instructions are a little thin, but after looking at all of the parts I was able to put it together in about 2 hours. The second one only took about 45 minutes. I didn't realize you could place the back of the unit snug against the wall because the picture shows it away from the wall. I left it about 3 inches from the wall because I didn't want to redrill the bolt holes, but if I did it again, I would place the back closer to the wall. You do need a little room on the sides for over hang. It seems to be qutie sturdy and well made. It sways a little bit when it wasn't loaded, but seems like a tank now that I connected the two units together and loaded them up. My only regret is that I didn't buy two more units at the great price of $40. They are back up to $60 so I guess I'll have to wait to finish my garage. It is a great product even though it is a little pricey.
