I've been fortunate enough to try the Lightly Salted version from this brand before and thought they were good, but not gourmet, so I was keen to try these.They arrive in a simple cardboard box and each bag is individually sealed. You get 20g of sweet popcorn in each and I found it quite tricky to open the bags cleanly. Of the few I've had to date, they all opened, but slightly awkwardly, if that makes sense. It's just a slight annoyance and something you don't get from a branded bag of crisps for example.The popcorn contained is perfectly good, but as with the Lightly Salted version I think it's a stretch to call it "Gourmet". I preferred this sweet version though and all the popcorn had a good enough covering. It was still very easy to polish off a bag!I think these are then perfect for parties or maybe a film evening with family or friends, but just don't be expecting an unforgettable, out there, awesome "gourmet" taste experience.

These turned out to be the ideal size for a single person on a home movie night. There's enough there to satisfy me but not too much that I get carried away and overfeed myself. They really do have the smell of cinema popcorn, which makes the experience extra special. Each piece has a sticky coating that is tacky against the skin, but doesn't transfer. I'm usually a salted eater, but I can appreciate how well these are done. They're just the right level of sweetness and I agree, there's a gourmet taste to them. The popcorn is mostly soft with a subtle crunch and some chewiness. There are hardly any hard pieces of partially popped popcorn and only a couple of kernels in the bottom of each bag. It can't get much better than this. Overall, the bags are a lovely, light snack that satisfies a sweet tooth.

The popcorn arrived safely, and the 24 bags came in a cardboard box. Unfortunately, the ones I received had a best before date of Jan 2022 (March 7th as of writing), but they still tasted fine.It tastes really nice; I can just happily keep eating them. They aren’t overly sweet which is good as you can always add some extra sugar if needed and all of the bags I have eaten so far were free of small bits and unpopped kernels.They are gluten free, 100% plant based and only 86 calories per bag. Ingredients are popping corn, sugar, rapeseed oil, sunflower lecithin, and food colouring (E102).The bags aren’t very big (20g) so if you like a nice fill of popcorn like me then you will want at least two bags per sitting. You can eat the popcorn without getting messy fingers as they aren’t sticky or anything like that.Overall, considering the ones I received were past their best before date they still tasted nice and were perfectly cooked (popped). The price is quite high if I compare them to my go to brand which are 80p per 80g bag, but I suppose you are paying for convenience and they are ideal for giving out at parties or in goody bags, etc. With the BBE dates and price in mind I feel three stars is appropriate for them!
