Qualatex 260Q Traditional Assortment Biodegradable Latex Balloons 100-Units (1-Pack)

We are definitely novices when it comes to making balloon animals. I chose these balloons based on the high number of positive ratings, and they did not disappoint!The packaging label says the bag includes 100 balloons. I didn't count, but it looked about right.Our bag of balloons came with 10 colors: red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, light blue, purple, white, and black. Basically, every color in the product picture. However, out of our entire bag, we only got 1 purple. The ones that looked purple un-inflated were actually blue when inflated, and the one that turned out to be purple looked black un-inflated. After we found the one purple balloon, we tested all the other balloons that looked the same, but they all turned out to be black. We got a good mix of all the other colors, and 9 colors still provided for plenty of variety, so I'm really not complaining about the lack of purple, just making note of it.You definitely need a balloon pump to inflate the balloons. The pump doesn't just make it "easier" or "quicker" to inflate balloons - I literally was completely unable to inflate a balloon by blowing into it. It was really impossible, making the pump a necessity.Finally - and most importantly - these balloons are high quality. I have a "thing" about balloons popping - they really scare me! - and when I'm making a balloon animal, I do it while practically cringing and muttering, "Don't pop! Don't pop! Don't pop!" Fortunately, we haven't actually had much popping. My 8-year-old daughter has become quite a whiz at making balloon animals, and frankly, I am amazed at how much squeak-squeak-squeaking can happen while twisting without leading to a popped balloon! We have had an occasional balloon pop, but it happens infrequently, and my impression is that they pop not because of poor quality, but because we are aggressive in our twisting.UPDATE 10/7/14: I ordered a second bag, and all the colors were well-represented, including purple!

Best quality balloons.

My 5 year old niece learned to make balloon creations at the library. She loves it and the presenter recommended these balloons and they have been great! They inflate well, twist well, and last for days.The colors in the traditional assortment are a nice variety for the just for fun twisting that she does. I know there are other color mixes out there if you have a specific need you are filling to go with a specific creation or decor.I'd recommend these Qualatex 260Q to everyone I know. Whether pro or just for fun.We've tried to use some other party store brands and we were left completely disappointed especially after using these. So save yourself the frustration and stick with the good stuff, Qualatex.One warning. We ordered some fulfilled but not sold by Amazon, but our first try we got a bad seller Kernel Trading Inc. Well the ones we received were fakes. They were in a non factory bag, they were not the colors listed in the description or even that matched our previously purchased Qualtex balloons of the same variety. They were thin, popped when not totally inflated. The collars on the balloons even unrolled when you start to inflate it.The seller was Kernel Trading Inc, so don't buy from them even though they were fulfilled by Amazon.We really had high hopes but we got let down.Amazon and their great service took care of me and refunded my money, Awesome.I am going to buy more from Amazon because I trust them as a company and there are great prices. I'm sure we will be having lots of Qualatex balloon fun again in no time.

Cute! Works well for parties

My partner has been into creating balloon animals for our family members, this pack of balloons is the best out there. We forgot it on our last trip and purchased some from Party City that were far inferior. Highly suggest stocking on these!

At my son's school Trick or Street event, I embraced the role of a friendly clown within the Carnival theme. To enhance the experience, I decided to create over 80 balloon animals. With just two days of self-taught skills from online videos and thorough research, I concluded that Qualatex balloons were the best choice. The order arrived promptly, and I effortlessly crafted the balloon animals. When commissioned for more in the future, I'll undoubtedly choose Qualatex again!

I have made animal balloons for random events for 15 years now. This is the only brand I buy as others are so cheap and many balloons pop easily. The color assortment is fabulous too.My one con is that once the bag is opened, the balloons will not last a year before becoming so brittle that they pop super easily,l. Try to get just the amount you need for an event that can be used up within a few months.
