Organic Valley, Chocolate Milk Boxes, Shelf Stable 1% Milk, Healthy Snacks (Pack of 12)

Happy to find in S&S program for school lunches. However, the straw design on these are awful. They are telescoping design to extend, however, the ones we received in the case ordered were basically inoperable. They didn’t hold at full extension and repeatedly collapsed, going into the container and then were unrecoverable. We had to pack extra straws for the milk and not use the straws that came with the milk. Our 5 year old had a couple of days of frustration at lunchtime before we gave up and packed extra straws. We tried at home after she complained, and this was a problem we had too, it wasn’t just 5 year old operator error.The milk itself was fine, the kids liked the taste. 4 stars for overall review, would have been 5 if the straws had just been normal bendy straws that are easy use.Posting this review as a caution for people to have extra straws on hand in case this is an issue for anyone else, so their kids aren’t frustrated and disappointed that they aren’t able to use the straw provided and stuck with milk they aren’t able to drink easily.We may have just gotten a faulty case.

My kids love these, so we will keep buying them for now. I like that they’re organic and have a long shelf life. But, the packaging needs serious help. We have to use regular straws instead of the straws they come with (which sink into the box all the time). I’ve also found I need to use scissors to cut a little extra relief wedge out of the box where you insert the straw to prevent it from bubbling out and leaking. We also can’t ever seem to get all of the milk out. So strange. It’s a lot of extra work for a milk box and not something you could do while out and about or on a trip. With some redesign they could be perfect.

Threse things are great when you don't have time to eat, don't feel like eating, don't know what to eat; Sometimes i need to rush to an exam or class and I don't have time to get any food and it's not a good idea to try to learn while hungry. I usually nab 1 or two of these and I'm good to go for a few hours.

I have purchased these packs for about 1.5 years, without problem. I don't personally like the taste, but my son does and it has a lot less sugar than other brands. BUT the sudden price increase of $10 per case is ridiculous! These are already a little annoying... can't get all the milk out, they leak and backflow once straw is inserted, and my husband has never figured out how to properly "lock" the straw in place... but to pay $1.50 per box is so absurd that I HAVE STOPPED BUYING ALL YOUR PRODUCTS over the past couple months. I am now happily buying 1/2 gallons of OTHER BRANDS organic chocolate milk for $5-$6 per 1/2 gallon... as well as other brands of ALL our organic dairy products. I was a loyal customer for years, even though it was already the most expensive organic chocolate milk on the market... but I will NEVER buy your products again. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because my son liked it ok.

These are absolutely fantastic when traveling as a family. They're a quick breakfast drink alongside a granola bar or piece of fruit.

My son loves this milk, and it is, in fact, the only milk he'll drink. He has sensory processing issues, and the little cartons of THIS milk are all he will drink, milk-wise. So, I've been *very* appreciative of its availability here on Amazon for the last two years. Three weeks ago, I would have given this product a five-star review. However, in the last two weeks, the price on this product has gone up $7-10. (The price has always varied by a few dollars, from $18-22.) I'm fairly irritated about it, so much so that, after discovering that the generic organic chocolate milk at a national wholesale store IS Organic Valley chocolate milk in different boxes, I'm going to have to change where I buy the milk even though being forced to change by a ridiculous price hike irritates me. So, Organic Valley, we love your milk. However, this is price gouging.

Kid loves the taste and it is easy packing for school and on the go. The product is ultra pasteurized and sealed so there is no need for refrigeration unless opened, very convenient for school and on the go.I wish there were more flavor available on Amazon. OV does make vanilla and strawberry version of this. Another wish would be whole milk flavored version. Not every kid needs low fat, in fact, some underweight or very active age kids could use the calories.

Great price. Great flavor. Love that they are shelf stable to use for packing kids lunches for school.
