I purchased this product to supplement bacterial growth space in both my Freshwater and Saltwater tanks. The product is quite dense and heavy and appears to be of a high-quality ceramic. This bundle comes with a significant amount of biomedia and should be able to fully stock a sump or filter.Pro-tip: The product may be dusty during transport and the bricks should be well rinsed and soaked before adding to your aquarium. It's a good idea to let any of the micro-ceramic pellets that are lose fall off before adding to your tank.

This product don't work as should be, no porosity enough to hold micro live inside, just a litter around it. nice construction, solid yes, but no for great filtration or the tiny micro organism system.

For the amount of filter media that you get here the value is very good. This would work well in a sump or large canister filter. The only thing to not is when rubbed together some small particles break off making a sand like material. Make sure you wash well and you should be good to go.

I purchased these to start up a frag tank. I placed them in my sump for a few weeks so the bacteria would colonize them. When I set up the frag tank and placed these in, the tank cycled very quickly with no need for bacteria in a bottle. Because of the size, you can literally place these things any where.

These work pretty well, it cleared my tank up in 1 day. These seem to be a good biofilter. Time will tell!

Easy to use. Size is not overwhelming.
