They Work Very Well!
We have used these mats for about a week now and I will say I really like them. They do catch most of the small type litter. Out cats are "flingers" and will fling litter out of the opening of the boxes. We use the tiny scoop-able litter and it does catch in the mesh very well. Our cats will also bug each other when they use the box so sometimes they run out before they are finished doing their business....needless to say this will also catch cat messes and I can easily clean this by spraying it off with cleaner in the yard. The mat is rubber so it will not leak through. I bought three of these mats. Very pleased!***UPDATE*** Actually - these mats are not waterproof...I did not realize this but these mats act as a sponge and will leak water out of the bottom if you "squish" it. I did not realize this until I washed and put this back down on the floor. I took it up again to empty the litter fragments and the floor was soaked underneath. I took this outside and squished it and more water came out. Now I cannot get this thing to dry. I actually have it laying upside down in the sun trying to get it to dry because I cannot put it on the floor until it is no longer wet. This does catch the litter just fine, but it is now a pain in the rear to clean since it will not dry. We had real rubber mats before and this is just insane that it will not dry.

Works great for me!
I have been looking for a mat that looks good, is easy to clean, and traps litter! This mat does a very good job at trapping my cat's litter (the litter is very fine grains) but is also very easy to clean with a vacuum or a quick shake. It's large enough so my cat doesn't step over or around it, and it's comfortable to not hurt his paws. Also looks great in my bathroom!**I have not tried it with other types of litter, specifically litter made of larger particles.Right now I'm using "Better Way Flushable cat litter" and I haven't seen a spec leave my cat's litter box area.

It does catch litter and does reduce tracking.
After purchasing and setting up the Easyology Premium Cat Litter Mat in front of our cat's litter box about a week ago, the mater has been catching litter effectively and keeping it from spreading across the floor.Perviously we've tried keeping the litter box on tile flooring, wood flooring, and medium to short bedroom carpet. The tracking is worse on the tile and on the wood than on the carpet, but even on the carpet, the litter gets tracked around quite a bit (plus litter can get ground into the carpet which is sort of gross even if the vacuum does seem to clean it up without a problem). In contrast, with the Easyology Premium Cat Litter Mat, tracking was reduced to a minimum and hardly gets stuck to the bottom of our bare feet even if my husband or I walk across the mat without shoes. Our cat doesn't seem to mind the texture of the mat and hasn't been discouraged from using his littler box. Particularly sensitive cats might react differently.Since I've only had it on the floor by the litter box for about a week, I haven't needed to clean it yet; therefore, I can't speak to how easy it is to vacuum, how it responds to being hosed off or how quickly it dries.

So I got this mat and I'm very happy with the results
My cats have been through a lot lately, because my dad is now in a nursing home and his cat came to live with me. I switched to clumping litter to try and be able to handle three cats and their litter usage, but the litter kept being kicked out of their boxes and tracked all over the dang house. So I got this mat and I'm very happy with the results. It really does catch all the pieces of litter and reduce the twice daily sweeping I had to do. I also really like the size of it. Also if I didn't know better I would just think it was a normal rug. And last but not least because my dads cat is traumatized she immediately peed on it. The rug is super easy to clean! It literally just became a puddle on the rug and I was able to soak it up and then wash it off in the tub.So if you accidentally become a cat lady like I am, this is a good rug for you!

This works.
This is a very effective product. My cat has a clumping low-dust formula litter that spreads like the plague. This mat alone reduced the litter spread by 85% or greater. Taking into consideration that he is still a kitten and exits his litter pan like a rocket I suspect that a more mature cat that leaves his toilet at a more sedate speed would spread next to no litter. The mat is very high quality and looks quite nice as well. I have it on a tile floor and it does not slide at all. After about one week of use I rolled it up and took it outside. It was easily cleaned by beating it gently against my deck railing. I’m very pleased with the purchase.

Great for litter, not so much for accidents.
We've had this mat for about a week and I love how much litter it catches. I was skeptical but it really does a great job at catching everything that the cats kick out plus grabbing off their paws as they step out.Downside? It's not waterproof(I know its only resistant) and unfortunately I didn't realize my cats decided to test this out. The mat itself disguises when cats urinate on it so I had no idea until I picked it up to clean floors. I clean the litterbox daily and still have no idea when they had the accident. The urine went through the mat, onto the floor ruining our wood floors and then seeped everywhere else and up into other places of the mat. I cannot get the smell out of the mat now either. I did e-mail the company to ask what their solution for the smell is so we will see if there is anyway to salvage the mat.
