4-Port USB 3.0 Hub

This is a great little gadget and an excellent way to maximize USB space and eliminate wire clutter. My DVR has 3 USB connections but one is on the front of the unit, really more for temporary use. I had to connect the WIFI adaptor, my external hard drive, and the Sling adaptor, one too many for the 2 rear USB ports. I knew what I needed but was happily surprised to find one so functional, being more than a basic splitter with its nice blue LED's and the ability to switch off the individual port(s) when not in use. For example, my external drive does not need to be on all the time so switching it off breaks the connection to the port. Enough power is still supplied to maybe keep a devices LED's lit up but no actual USB connection is detected while switched off, perfect! Looks good, priced right, functions exactly the way I wanted and keeps all those cables and wires in the back where they belong. Would also work as a good way to connect multiple external hard drives to a PC or Mac, looks like a new seller is off to a great start.

It's very good. But have a important issue:I let 4 HD's connected. When one is connected and button is ON and I turn on the second, the first is "EJECTED".This happens with all type of device connected. One you have one and turn on the second, the first stop working!

This is such an ingenious device. Yes, we've all seen USB hubs. But not many have the ability to turn off each individual port. And none at this price!It works great on both my laptop, and my tablet. I keep my flash drives connected to this most of the time. Then, when I need one of them, I just connect the unit to my computer, and flip the switch of the appropriate drive. Jinhoo 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Individual ON/OFF Switch and LEDs (Cable Length: 30cm)  Kind of having some problems with one of my flash drives though. It used to be drive D now it can't find it and keeps making this beeping noise. My cp asks if I want to give it a new drive letter but What letter am I supposed to give it? I guess I will figure it out sometime. If there are any suggestions, I am very welcome to it. Its a 120 GB so it's important. Thanks.

I returned it when I discovered the design defect. I had a USB 3 flash drive plugged into it and an active copy running when I plugged in another flash drive (it does have 4-ports). As soon as I plugged in the 2nd drive, it disconnected the first drive, in mid-copy, thus corrupting the file being copied. I thought maybe it was a fluke but I was able to consistently reproduce it.

I was hoping I could plug this into the USB slot in my car cd player and use it to plug a usb stick with my music and car video camera. I was wrong and guess it's only for PC's and other systems. I guess I should have researched it first to see if it would work.

If you are looking for a USB hub that switches devices on and off, this is the one to buy! I bought another which did not perform as I wanted, this one works great! It turns on and off a usb desk lamp. Connects and disconnects my usb headset as if i plugged or unplugged it. It saves wear and tear on my usb devices. Lights are only on if switch is in the on position.

Works like a charm. It sure is nice to have additional USB 3 ports. This item was very easy to install, just plug and go. Great item.
