I needed this camera for security at my front gate.The camera has wifi and ir just what I needed.Upon setting up the camera the manual says it will take about 15 seconds to boot. It my take that long if your booting up using the Ethernet I don’t know. Using wifi it took longer, so you have to wait for it. No problem.After setting up the camera it worked fine with all the attributes I needed. Great picture and good zoom. Outstanding night vision lots of ir for great picture. I am satisfied. Work as advertized.

Here is the lowdown after 6 months of use:- Software is inadequate. Playback has no indicator for easy access to user. Must rely on 15 sec clip timestamp, and then go to the tab for a more fluent, and continuous event. No access to ff or rr in full screen either.- Through a meticulous process, I was able to get license plate at all times. Default mode, the plate is too blown out for it to be useful. You can see the car because of its powerful IR, but that's not enough to identify.- Cruise can be useful, but motion detect render it as annoying. Again this is Software issue because motion detect and motion area is negligible. Software is CamHi. I select certain area, but camera still run wild scanning unnecessary things.- Intelligent mode will turn pink at night, but will be colorful if there's enough ambient light. It's a niche, and not too useful unless you're using it in a business setting.- This is the most important issue, there is no duplex audio mode. I felt misled here. I think they forgot to update their description from an older camera.Gosh Darn it!! Why does IP camera becoming like a tattoo?! Impossible to settle with one isn't it? I hope this will be the end of my IP Camera journey *rolleyes*. I got a tiny one with great security system APP bar none; I got few 360s lamp one, I got a solar one with cloud and no wires. All of them have one thing in common, not a very detailed picture quality. This baby zoom capability is impeccable! Auto tracking is there too if needed, but fyi with so many leds in picture, this camera has no floodlight feature. That's okay with me because my solar ones does! So again, back to having tattoos, they can be redundant, busy looking, but truthfully complementary.P.S: Peter, you're da man! Lol that's the only line you're getting.

If you want to be able to see what's going around the area around the camera through your phone it's fun and wonderful and the pictures are incredible Etc. But this company just does not get this: software is the most important thing to get this device working properly. The second most important thing because when the first fails is that customer support must be available. If somebody says that they will give you s customer engineering support with any problems to a product that is sold in the US then this must happen otherwise the company is bunk. This is an absolute failure unless you just want to feel good having some camera up there that you can look around with on your phone but if you actually need something to work and do what it proposes to do then forget this and go somewhere else even if you have to spend more money

Great optical lens camera! The optics alone make this a true quality zoom camera. Night vision is also clear, with a few options. Once you learn a few codes you can control the tracking and patrol functions. Although you can adjust the sensitivity of tracking, it sometimes locks on "other than huminoid" objects which will get you a lot of notifications. Check the pics from a far and then close ups. Excellent quality for the price!!And the company Jide Tech stands behind their products as I'm currently working with a rep to resolve some app issues.Thanks for looking in and happy surveillance-ing!😎

Hi I purchased one of the Jide Tech cameras in order to evaluate its performance in a system that needed to operate over a long Wi-Fi range. I found that I liked many of the features of the camera including its simplicity in setting up, and the smoothness of its pan and tilt functions. However, while the close range performance of the camera was good, I found that it’s extended range Wi-Fi performance was somewhat anemic, and I could not connect at the same distance as my other cameras. The customer support has been good and the company support people are currently providing suggestions and even offering to furnish range extending hardware.

Image quality is amazing with a good zoom, full continuous 360 rotation (uses slip rings) and good down tilt. Does not tilt up above horizontal, may be an issue, not for me. That was all the good.Now for the BAD-and theres a lot-Horrible software for iphones and pc. Emphasize horrible.Pan/ tilt /zoom control is clunky, slow finger response and direction of movement makes no sense. No motion detection with camera software, must install 3rd party software for motion detect!Wifi for me did not work AT ALL right next to router. Crashed constantly when controlling camera- requiring pushbutton reset , on 1- foot camera cable button!!! This camera is for outdoor use, Am I supposed to use a ladder?!!!Finally, as I always say-“Software people should be FORCED to use their own software”!!
