Lets gooooo! Hands down the best carry-on ever.
The Samsonite Omni 2 Carry-On is a popular choice for travelers seeking a durable, lightweight, and stylish hard-shell suitcase. This 19-inch model aims to meet the needs of frequent flyers looking for a reliable companion for short trips and as a carry-on option. Here’s a breakdown of its pros and cons:Pros:Durability and Construction: The Omni 2 lives up to Samsonite's reputation for quality. The hardshell exterior, made from polycarbonate, feels robust and capable of withstanding the typical bumps and scrapes of travel. It’s designed to protect your belongings from damage during transit, making it a worthwhile investment for frequent travelers.Lightweight Design: This is a major selling point. The lightweight construction of the Omni 2 allows you to pack more without exceeding airline weight restrictions. This makes it easy to maneuver and lift into overhead compartments.Smooth Spinner Wheels: The four multi-directional spinner wheels are a game-changer. They glide effortlessly across a variety of surfaces, making navigating airports a breeze. The 360-degree rotation ensures smooth and easy movement in any direction.Expandable Feature: The ability to expand the suitcase provides much-needed flexibility. When you need extra space for souvenirs or last-minute packing, the expansion zipper allows you to gain a few extra inches, which is a handy feature to have.Organization: The interior features a zippered divider and elastic cross-straps, which help keep your belongings organized and prevent shifting during transit. This makes packing and unpacking more efficient.TSA-Approved Lock: The built-in TSA-approved lock provides an added layer of security, giving you peace of mind while traveling. This feature is particularly convenient, allowing TSA agents to open and inspect your luggage without damaging the lock.Stylish Aesthetics: The Omni 2 boasts a sleek and modern design that is available in a range of colors. It looks professional and stylish without being flashy. This adds to the overall appeal of the suitcase.Cons:Size Limitations: While it's a convenient carry-on, the 19-inch size might be restrictive for longer trips, even with the expansion feature. It may not be suitable for travelers who tend to overpack or need to carry a significant amount of clothing.Scratches: While the polycarbonate shell is durable, it can be prone to scratches and scuffs over time, especially with frequent use. This is a common issue with hardshell luggage, and while the damage is usually cosmetic, it may affect the overall appearance of the suitcase over time.Internal Space: The interior design can be slightly limiting for larger, bulkier items. The curved shell and internal components can take up some valuable packing space, so you might need to use packing cubes or be strategic about how you pack.Handle Wobble: Some users have reported a slight wobble in the telescoping handle. While this doesn't affect its functionality, it's a minor concern that some might find disconcerting.Price Point: The Samsonite brand typically comes with a higher price tag than other luggage options. While the quality justifies the cost for many, it might be a bit pricey for budget-conscious travelers.Overall:The Samsonite Omni 2 Hardside Expandable Luggage, Carry-On 19-Inch, is a solid investment for travelers who value durability, lightweight construction, and smooth maneuverability. The spinner wheels and expansion feature are highly convenient, and the TSA-approved lock offers added security. While it may have some minor drawbacks like the susceptibility to scratches and a slightly limited internal space, these are common concerns with hardshell luggage. If you’re looking for a reliable and stylish carry-on option that will withstand the rigors of travel, the Omni 2 is definitely worth considering. However, if you’re on a tight budget or require more packing space for longer trips, you might want to explore other options.Who Should Buy This:Frequent travelers who need a reliable and durable carry-on.Those who prioritize lightweight luggage and easy maneuverability.Travelers who appreciate a sleek and modern design. Those who value the peace of mind offered by a TSA-approved lock.Who Might Want to Consider Other Options:Budget-conscious travelers.Travelers who need a lot of packing space. Those who are bothered by minor cosmetic scratches. In conclusion, the Samsonite Omni 2 Carry-On is a well-rounded piece of luggage that delivers on its promises for quality and convenience. It's a great choice for most frequent flyers looking for a reliable travel companion.

Great suitcase!
Suitcase is super nice. My dad is over 6 ft tall and travels for work. I was a little skeptical at first but he’s able to fit so much in this suit case. He travels monthly for work whether driving or flying. This suitcase has held nice! Very minimal scratching.

Excellent quality with wheels that work!
I purchased these after cheaper luggage let me down. The wheels roll smoothly and easily, they don’t get stuck. The entire suitcase is excellent quality; both durable and lightweight. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who travels frequently like I do.

Very Good.
Luggage is well crafted and sturdy as to be expected from Samsonite. I will say that the pictured image is NOT accurate as the luggage does not contain an external opening/door. There is an external usb connector to charge something on the inside but no (door). The surface is also not "Smooth" it is textured with ridges so stickers or some like that would not adhere to the exterior surface. There is also no inside detachable compartments that I have become accustomed to for toiletry items.

Great suitcases
Great suitcases, they held up when I flew to Vancouver, the airline didn't destroy them and then I walked up and down the hills rolling it along to the hotel, which was a lot further than I thought, lol.

Great Luggage
Love these cases. Wheels work great on all flooring, a must since I use a cane. The built in lock works easily and gives piece of mind.

Okay quality, but carry-on is too small!
I got the 2 piece Omni 2 in white. It’s decent quality, but design issues stop me from recommending. We’ll see on the durability. I bought the carry on and large 2 piece set on an Amazon deal. Build quality feels decent; wheels and handle are sturdy. The Omni 2 hard case is a bit softer/more flexible than i expected but I hope that helps it absorb bumps rather than breaking like my last suitcase. My biggest complaints are regarding the carryon size and design… I was surprised at how small the carry on is height and width wise, and the zipper compartment in particular is very small and shallow compared to my prior carryons greatly limiting its usefulness… compounding the shallowness is the extending handle which is nice and thick but takes up maybe 10% of the middle of this already shallow zipper compartment volume… the design is very limiting what you can store in there (couldn't fit my fully loaded toiletry bag due to its shallowness… which i had no problem fitting in my old Kenneth Cole carryon). Then as a smaller complaint there’s the battery pack pouch which I find to be more of a gimmick and in the way, unfortunately this too takes up a decent amount of storage in the main unzippered compartment and is not detachable. There’s also a small zip compartment in the zipper side but it’s too small to fit a belt or tie or anything a compartment like that normally would be used for. As a sort of compromise I suppose, the expandable section of the carryon does seem a little larger than my prior carryon, to get some additional depth in the main compartment which is nice… but this means all your clothes will be just heaped into the one side… and it doesn’t solve the real issue of the short height and width… as a guy I’m barely able to fit a pair of size 11 sneakers in. (In my old carryon I could easily fit a couple pairs, my toiletry bag and clothes with ease.)I have not used the larger unit yet but it seems to be decent especially since size/shape are the limiting factors on the carry on. Overall the luggage is fine for the price, but I find the design choices very frustrating. Looking at the rest of Samsonites lines it seems like they’ve intentionally made this cheaper Omni 2 product too small and with lesser utility in order to push people to buy their more expensive lines. I find that pretty aggravating andthese still cost a decent chunk of money, and it makes me less interested in their brand. Overall, it’s fine luggage is fine, but thinking about the intentional compromises is frustrating.
