Tape ruins materials- sticks forever
This horrible tape barely came off of any materials it was used on and was virtually impossible to remove without fully sanding or scraping the chunks and residue off, removing layers of the items themselves. It took me an hour of sanding and scraping to get the chunks and strips off of a wooden dog bowl holder and its metal legs- we’d used this tape to hold them together in travel. If you use this tape on ANYTHING other than cardboard or disposable items, IT WILL RUIN IT. It’s truly shocking how much this tape both breaks apart as it’s removed and yet somehow remains on items with an endurance that ultimately ruins items. Save your items and time and don’t buy this awful product

This Tape Is Temperamental
As a warehouse worker in my youth, I've always preferred this kind of tape for packages. It's always stuck better, reinforces boxes, and hides seals. All that said, though, I'd never tried this particular brand, though. My wife had some shipments of clothing products in rather large boxes that needed to be sent to the Bahamas and to New York, and I wasn't interested in using the clear tape she uses for the smaller packages she sent. Especially those larger boxes that were going to leave the country. So I bought some of this tape because of my past experiences.I was initially impressed. The tape stuck well. There were a few small punctures in the boxes (we re-used some boxes) that were easily covered by the tape, which felt like a solid seal. I did immediately notice what others have complained about, that the tape wouldn't stick to itself. So if you cross tape (I like to put tape along the length of the box to seal the box, and then put a strip of tape across the width of the box as reinforcement), it latter tape does not stick to the prior tape. That wasn't really a deal-breaker for me, though, because that wasn't a stress point a the tape still stuck well to the sides and across the middle. Overall, I was fairly happy with the tape. The day after was another story, though. I got up the next morning and discovered that a lot of the tape on different boxes and come loose, and in several places which weren't stress points. On a few of the boxes the tape which I'd used long-ways to seal the fold-overs had come loose from the sides of the boxes. There were some edges I'd reinforced with the tape which had come up as well. All this surprised me, honestly, because the seal of the tape to the cardboard had felt very solid the day before. It says all that needs to be said that I will now be reinforcing these boxes with the plastic clear tape my wife typically uses, even though I bought this tape to avoid that. That says it all, I think. I'll be reinforcing this tape with other tape. That shouldn't be a thing. In this tape's defense, however, I will concede that some of the boxes we used were irregular, in that they weren't pristine new boxes and had some weaker spots in places. But I specifically bought this tape in the expectation that it could provide some reinforcement, like the similar tape I'd used in warehouses. On the new, perfectly squared up boxes that we used, the tape did quite well in most places. It says all that needs to be said, though, that a tape I bought to reinforce some boxes wasn't all that good at reinforcing anything. I could have just used the wife's standard plastic clear tape for all the good this tape did me.I hate to be hyper-critical, but I probably wouldn't buy this tape again. For me, that's all that needs to be said, really.

Mixed results.
This tape is certainly sturdy. However, I’ve never seen tape that wouldn’t stick to itself. The back side is so slick I couldn’t overlap pieces of tape. In addition a few of the boxes I taped had the edges of the tape curling up after a few days sitting indoors. With all that said, the boxes I shipped with this tape all arrived without incident or failure of the tape.

Doesn’t stick
I read the reviews and thought to myself, how can tape not stick to itself. So I took a chance and ordered it. It came with no directions on how much it should be dampened. I tried it on a cardboard box and it stuck ok to bare cardboard, but would NOT stick to itself or clear packing tape. I used it because it had fiber reinforcements in the tape. Then I topped it off with good ol clear scotch packing tape on top of the brown tape. This will work so I can use up the brown tape.Guess I should have believed the reviews…. Safe your money….
