Darkness, Intrigue & an Epic Romance
It was my first time reading this author, but it definitely will not be my last. I literally could not stop reading until the very end. Absolutely love Mera’s personality. Such a strong, courageous, funny, confident female shifter and I’m here for it. 22year old Mira has been deemed the outcast of her pack because of the sins/actions of her father. Beaten and bullied for years by not just her pack mates, but her ex best friend who she thought would be her one true mate. Meta has already made up her mind to leave this pack, but when her first shift happens she finds her true mate who is none other than the next in line Alpha Torin who she loathes as he has been one of her tormenters, but she hopes maybe that will change as she rushes to him he says he intends to reject her. Shattered in soul and heart and then attacked something happens that brings about Shadows and things she doesn’t understand. She tries to run, but Torin has to hurt her more and she calls upon the Shadow Beast their God & maker and of course he comes to her because what ever she did in her soul shattering moments unleashed things from his realm that no one should be able to do. The Shadow Beast is the most gorgeous thing she has ever seen. Shadow Beast takes her and she sees things she only thought was myth. As the try to figure out how Myra touched his world the grow closer and the attraction and chemistry is astronomical. Of course, both deny their feelings, but there is no denying the heat as the go on this rollercoaster of adventures with all the feels and emotions that leave you needing more. There is a cliffhanger of cliffhangers, so before I rush off to read book two, I will just say I absolutely recommend this book. It is one of the best shifter romance stories I have ever read and I read a lot.

Slow moving book-Do love Mera
I do like the book. The story line is good and I do love Mera but it is dragging on. I feel like this book could have been shorter. There is even a second book and I am going to finish the series but I hope it actually starts moving along to the main plot.

Fascinating
I love the MC’s spunk, snark, and irrepressible personality! It’s so awesome to read about strong female bonds and a woman finding her own power. I can’t wait to read the next book. This is great world building and I’m looking forward to Shadow Beast’s friends getting stories too!

❤️🔥 Really, really, good ❤️🔥
I’m so happy I picked this up, I laughed out loud so many times I was riding a goofy-idiot-sandwich kind of grin and ROCKING it.This was a fabulous thing to sink my teeth into and NOTHING that I could have ever even imagined it being. There were so many details and characters and THINGS I could picture VIVIDLY and it was stunning bc it just made me fall in love with reading this more.I’m pretty sure the author was riffling around in my head deep inside the recesses of my “wildest dreams come true” pandoras box I thought I locked. 💗For as much as I love this tho, I do have a couple of knocks but I’ll make them simple so I don’t give TOO much away. The first one being chemistry between our male and female leads. Other than the FL admitting that she had eyes and found the ML attractive (which, let’s be honest, who can blame her? WOW!) the ML comes off as being an older brother in a way. (Not the way he acts but kind of how their relationship feels) he’s objectively attractive in a way that reads “yeah that Gucci billboard model can DEFINITELY have my number if he ever walks out of that advertisement and straight into me” kind of way. Attractive but in an UNOBTAINABLE way to our FL. He’s doesn’t really show any interest in her, and the same can be said for her other than her acknowledging that she’s a red-blooded female with working ovaries. Neither of them give off real chemistry and in fact, I would argue out of everyone I would say I got the most tingles between her and another character with Jaxon. So their “build” up into maybe being something more our Male and Female Leads, is essentially lacking and non-existent.Which brings me to my second knock. The Spice. The Peppers. THE FUEGO. 🔥🔥🔥 WhErE!?! The scene, let me repeat that, THE. SCENE. Comes and I was left a little sad and lack luster. *spoilers ahead people* our FL comes like, 30 times with essentially no effort on either of their parts, I swear there was basically this point in the action that if he so much as breathed in the same general direction as her cl*t she’s coming again. All of the sensations, all of the feelings, all the deliciousness that comes from scenes like this was hollow, a bit forced, and a tad rushed. Like the whole scenario of them ending up in that situation in the first place, enough for them to finally call it “time out” on the faux enemy’s to lovers thing they’ve got simmering between them, was clearly a manipulation and plot by Shadow our crafty, information withholding, ML. And if it happens to be that, that WASN’T the case? -Well then it felt like it was and if that’s true then that whole scene felt a bit, how to say politely? A bit TOO ADVANTAGEOUS for our morally grey, what-is-he-to-us, ML, Shadow and again, his clever manipulations and puppeteering. I digress tho.And lastly, I swear, TIME. Keeping track of time is a bit wonky. And forget about the part where’s she’s somewhere else and time moves differently, I’m talking about when she goes on her first shadow creatures hunting mission in the throws of winter a couple of months after she’s taken by Shadow, then another shadow creature hunting trip puts them back in Torma where she runs into her Brick-for-Brains mate it’s now summer and everyone’s talking about how it’s been a YEAR since she left. But then finally when she’s BACK in Torma and it’s starting to get cold again and the winter solstice is around the corner but everyone’s saying she’s still been gone a year and not a “year and a half” or “two”. Idk, it just bugged me.Final thoughts tho is whoever read this review/ rant till the end, you should definitely read this. It’s fantastic. 💗✨

Good start
Much better than the other series. This one kept my attention well.Meras best asset was her attitude.A bit repetitive with the plot devices, though. Also, just because someone else talks doesn't mean you don't finish the word you're saying.A lot of the behavior was rather juvenile for 22 year olds. Felt more like high schoolers. Also, all of the males in this book were useless. If the goal was to have you root for none of them, mission accomplished. Will make it hard to accept the shadow beat later. Hence the three stars.

great story line, poor wording
I love the storyline but the wording and the way in which the main character speaks sounds like an angry teenage girl. I really have enjoyed reading this but just the tone of the main character is so immature and childish that it’s cringey. I love a strong female character but this comes off as more of a “I’m not strong because of my experiences but I’m angry and going to pitch my fits to get my way” type thing.

Perfect
Being rejected by the hole pack made Mera the outcast. Punished by her father mistakes she lost everything. Her mother is a shell of herself, her best friend turned his back at her and now it’s one of her tormentors. When the time comes for her first shift she decides that after the ceremony she’s going to run away. She doesn’t want to be there being a punching bag for this pack any longer. When the Ceremony ends she is faced with her mate and the rejection and the words that are spelled hurts beyond anything she ever felt in her life. That day her wolf cries so hard and hurts so bad that something awakens. Left to her fate Mera wants to scape, she no longer wants to bond and stay with her pack, that’s when Shadows Beast, the shifters God, comes to earth to find the source of this dark energy.Mera is kidnapped by him, because he needs her to released this dark magic again to open the portal and avoid the destruction of the earth. But nothing it’s to simple as he becomes more and more intrigue with her. She’s not just a shifter, she’s more, but nobody knows what.Shadow have to discover really fast before she starts to allow darks figures to walk on earth and bring chaos. It’s amazingly funny, her personality it’s one of the most remarkable ones I’ve ever read. And shadow it’s the perfect match for her sass!!!
