Does the job
I replace these every six months, BUT FLUSH WATER THROUGH IT before connecting the output to the next element downstream to get rid of internal contaminants rather then sending them into the next filter or the membrane.

The most expensive inline filter i have ever bought.
Despite of not mantion the type of connections anywhere in the Amazon Page;The filter has no connections just a female thread on each side. I had to take it to a hardware store looking for an adapter for my refrigerator 1/4" tube. I had to purchase 2 Push connections at $ 6.00 USD each to make it work. thus this was the most expensive inline filter I have ever bought.
