A Great Resource!
Amazing books! Please write more of your books about famous female historical figures. There aren't enough books like this in the world. We love your books, Mr. Venezia, and we have almost all of them in our collection. What a wonderful resource they are to our family. We've learned so much about everybody from Michelangelo to Picasso, Bach, and George Washington - all while having fun reading these silly little books. Wonderfully illustrated and keeps my kids' attention. Definite recommend!

Not as many pictures as my children like but with the reputation of the other books my children know who Jane Goodall is, the difference between a monkey and a primate and a little bit about world war two and the bombing of London.

Mike Venezia is branching out
If you are familiar with Mike Venezia's previous books, you will immediately recognize the winning formula here. Interspersed with pages of the typical biographical information and photographs are lighthearted stories of things Jane Goodall did as a child, illustrated with funny cartoons. Most children find the less-serious approach very appealing, and these books are wonderful for reluctant readers. Adults shouldn't be fooled though, Venezia's book does an excellent job of covering the essentials of Jane Goodall's life. One can't help being inspired by an eager young secretary who goes to Africa in search of adventure and ends up a famous ethologist and world authority on chimpanzees.A perfect fit for any library, this book is sure to attract readers.

Great book.
Bought this for my nephews so they would have a glance at greatness while they were still young.
