I've suffered from annoying tonsil stones for at least the past 15 years (though probably longer, I just didn't know I had them). Mine sometimes get the size of a large pea, and will actually rub and irritate my tonsil and throat to the point of bleeding. This little LED light and syringe kit is very easy to use, and a great value for the price. It is made of the highest quality plastic? No, but I'm ok with that. It's inexpensive, and works! Also, the light is very bright and makes it easy to visualize your tonsil, though using in a dark room works best. As soon as I received this kit, I immediately put it to use. I've had mulitple pesky stones in my left tonsil for the past several months, and try as I might I couldn't get them out. (This is what prompted me to try this kit in the first place.) I am happy to report, that upon using this lighted probe and syringe to irrigate my tonsil, I was successfully able to remove 3 large stones in the matter of about 2 minutes. My throat already feels so much better, and I can even tell that my mouth no longer has that sour sulfur taste. (Bleh!) This kit is amazing, and I honestly should have bought it years ago! One word of warning: Although sometimes necessary, irriagating water directly into the crevasses of your tonsil doesn't feel very good. However, the discomfort only lasts for a second, and successfully getting that uncomfortable stone out is well worth it in my opinion. Also, the water (and possibly the disgusting stone) is likely to drip down your throat if your not quick about coughing it out once it's loosened (TMI I know, but if you're reading these reviews you already know what I'm talking about). Overall, I extremely happy with my purchase, and would buy this again in a heartbeat if something were to happen to my new stone removal kit!

Theyre good products but watch out if you're heavy handed like me.. Id recommend using something more blunt if you're gonna do like I did and put as much pressure as possible on your tonsils to get stuff out. 10/10 would stab again, I guess? The little metal thing has been very useful for me though, haven't stabbed myself with it yet! Have yet to find a way to Actually stab myself with the water syringe, but I CAN report that it feels like im drowning/stabbing myself every time I spray my tonsils with it. Maybe I'm applying too much force there also. Humor aside, good product, but maybe don't get it if you're heavy handed/dont know what you're doing/have picking issues. The little LED things work fine, and haven't died on me yet, but I found it's hard to really see with their light alone. However, I can see how it'd be more useful for people with smaller mouths. The sticks WILL dislodge from the base if you're an idiot like me and apply too much pressure trying to move your tonsil to the side; I recommend the metal one if you really wanna show your tonsils who's boss. I cant especially recommend the syringe if you have an easy gag reflex, but it has helped me get some stones out of awkward areas. You can get a pretty powerful spray with it if you're not careful, and it will hurt, so be gentle. Five stars because even though I'm clearly not supposed to have this, it does do the job and is pretty great for the price.

Honestly, I’m used to using wet cotton swabs but these are almost..sharp. It seems like they’re meant for digging into the pockets which kinda gives me the creeps. I’m used to gently pressing them out. The light works but using your phone’s flashlight works better. All in all this works if you don’t have a gag reflex and are comfortable with these tools. I wish I was.

This is a genius product! I've been getting tonsil stones for over 20 years. I've tried all the home methods to get rid of them (gargling salt water, using a Q-tip or toothbrush, clearing my throat, etc.) with very little success. I was very discouraged until I found this product. The little light is bright enough to see hidden stones behind tonsil folds. I prefer the soft rubber spoon like tip to scoop out the stones. I did not use the metal tip, so I cannot attest to its helpfulness. The syringe worked well for flushing out my tonsils, but it made me gag and feel like I was drowning. I ended up coughing up another stone after using the syringe. Others have mentioned turning off the bathroom lights and relying only on the light of this product. That was a helpful tip for me. Additionally, it may help to use a toothbrush or tongue compressor to help keep your tongue out of the way. I am very glad I found this product. It brought so much relief!!
