I ordered 2m + 1m extension all I received was the 1m extension...

Be aware connecting extension proves difficult around corners and some of the adhesive just peels off when trying to stick it. Subpar installation set up - not as easy as they make it seem.

If you’re a sucker like me and stuck in the hue ecosystem, welcome. Build quality is great, no issues with the leds. Works as intended. If you’re like me and prefer local control/none cloud based control, then this is for you. But Philips really need to work on their pricing, especially for led strips.

I use this led strip behind my 65 inch TV, for light syncing to PS5, Apple TV and PC (via Philips sync box). I needed 4 metres in total, and it works great. I probably would have preferred to get the dedicated TV light strip that Philips sell, but they are way too expensive for what they are. This light strip still does the job amazingly I feel, and I have no intentions in "upgrading" Whats the difference between this strip and the other? LED density and diffuser. Per metre length there have less leds, which means more blank space between each glowing led. For my use though, the light is hitting the wall and you're not staring directly at the lights anyway, so you dont really notice. The diffused housing would be nice, but my wall does all the difusing i need (See photo). You still get a glow, and not dots of light on the wall. I kinda had to jerry rig the strips into place behind my tv. I found 3D print designs online that will make it much neater, but I basically just used some tape on top of the double sided tape already on the strip. The immersion you get when you have these lights and other smart lights synced to a movie or when playing games is next level. photos and video wont do it justice, its an amazing feature you have to experience. I didnt think I'd like something like this until I tried it (philips sync box is expensive though, but thats another story) Either way, highly recommend these strips for using behind tv

I like these strips of light, but they should be far better considering their price. They give lovely light, and it's great that they are adjustable. However, the glue is pathetic. I carefully prepped my surface and followed the instructions, but the glue didn't stick for more than about 24-48 hours. I ended up having to buy double-sided tape to stick them down. It's not a big deal, but it shouldn't be necessary - especially given how expensive these lights are. Apart from that flaw, they're excellent.
