Wow, these are great! I bought this set for myself, for use on various art projects. I needed a set of assorted basic geometric shape templates/stencils that are larger than most other, grown up/adult ones ; )This set is intended for & would be fantastic for children too. I would have LOVED a set of these when I was a kid!The set has 5 different geometric shape stencils with smaller stencils of that same shape inside (so the outside of each one is also a stencil, very clever!). They are made from different basic colors of thick, translucent, smooth edged, slightly flexible plastic, so they are sturdy & probably not easy to break or damage. They can be easily washed/cleaned too.To give an idea of size, the largest is the purple hexagon, just under 7" across the widest area. The blue circle is the size of a small plate, 6" across.I am super pleased with this set! It was well worth the low price of $9.99. This would make a great gift or teaching tool for children & also fun & very useful for grown ups too!

I got these to put in my preschool art center so my kids could use them to trace. I like that they can trace the outside of the shape or the inside and make the same shape. When I opened them, I was impressed at how sturdy and thick they are. My assistant and I were so excited about them because they are the perfect size for tracing and precutting shapes for our art and craft projects. Every preschool teacher should have a set. I wish they came in more shapes.

Great shapes set. I use it with my preschoolers to practice tracing and creating some abstract art. My just turned 5 daughter can use them perfectly and she enjoys creating art from castles to houses . My 3 year old still needs a bit of assistance holding them down, but she is getting there. I like the size ( in inches the square is 6 X 6, rectangle is 7.4 X 4.5, circle diameter is 6 and so on..), each has 5 shapes on it in different size. They are also quite solid not flimsy so I'm not scared of the kids breaking them any time soon. Overall a very good set..

I wasn't sure how good these stencils would be but since the price was under $10.00 I was willing to take a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when I received them. These are made of thick plastic with smooth edges. The stencils are a good size, the circle is the about the size of a cake plate. The colors are bright. I made up a game borrowing the concept of the game Twister. Blue small circle drawn on the left top of the paper. I used this game with adult student with IDD(Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She loved the game and the painting she made. The plastic is a hard so there a greater chance that they could break than if the plastic stencils were more flexible. However, since this is a tool used for quieter sit down activities I don't think that would be a problem. I hope that a second set becomes available with more shapes (star, oval, trapezoid, semi circle etc. etc).

Very nice and firm

I have a lot of different stencils at home but none of them this quality.One of the girls I work with needed some extra input. She did not know when to stop and start so I thought a good idea wold be to use basic shapes to help guide her pencil. I had stencils at home but they were not so good. Some were to small and others to flimsy. Not wanting to give up, I gave this set a try and I was very impressed. Each set comes with a few sizes of each shape. There is one shape per stencil and it is made with amazing quality.I am very happy with this set as is the child. We both noticed that her pencil is not flying off the paper and it is not bending. It can hold it's own weight and is frustration free.If you are looking for a nice sturdy stencil this is the way to go. Although we are using it to learn shapes, this set has endless potential.

These are fantastic thick, sturdy, solid plastic shape stencils. My prek students adore them! They are perfect for teaching shapes - all the most important ECE ones are in the pack. Each stencil offers several stencils in each shape- for example, the large square stencil contains an additional 5 square shape cut outs. Each stencil lends itself to the physical understanding of each shape.Plus, they aid children in developing fine motor skills. Also, they help in scaffolding in making pictures with shapes.

This was a gift for my grandson. He seemed to love it.
