Excellent for Shooters with Aging Eyes
I purchased this sight for a Winchester '94 in 0.38-55, mainly because my 71-year-old eyes cannot effectively employ the standard semi-buckhorn rear sight. This basic model is available for many firearm models, and has target knobs so that adjustments made at the range are both precise, easy to make and positive. My shooting with the Winchester '94 improved to the extent that group size was reduced to less than half the size I obtained with the semi-buckhorn sight. This is due to the focussing effect of the rear aperture and the longer sight radius obtained with the sight mounted at the rear of the receiver, rather than on the barrel. Target acquisition is also much quicker, since one's eye naturally tries to center the front bead in the center of the rear aperture. As most shooters will appreciate, more accurate shooting is more satisfying by a wide margin.

Great replacement for regular ladder sight
SO much better than regular ladder sight that comes on most lever guns. My rossi 92 was shooting higher than the factory sight could lower. 100-200 was hard to get a consistent group because of this. The rossi will need to be drilled and tapped as no hole lines up. It wasn't very hard. get a #31 and 6-48 tap for a few bucks here on amazon. Level out of your gun in a vise. line up the sight. center punch and go slow with oil. minus the time to take the gun apart, this job took me about 20 minutes. Now i can easily hit 3-400 yards and have consistent range zeros every time. Worth every penny.

Williams, still the best.
This is a great quality sight and fantastic addition to your rifle. If you have old eyes it makes shooting so much easier.I use my 1894 just for target shooting so I have a tiny aperture on mine. If you’re hunting you may want a larger aperture for bigger sight picture. The target model with fine adjustment knobs is very easy to adjust to adjust but if you tear your gun down frequently you’ll need to sight the gun in after removing this sight.

Perfect
Put it on my old hand me down 30-30 that shot too far to the left and what an amazing diff, got it sighted it and easy. It’s not a “sit in the closet” gun anymore and fun to shoot

Great for Silhouette matches
I am not real sure how many Williams receiver sights I own. Always a great value. If Lyman still made the steel receiver sight I would buy them as is the Williams sights work great. I have them on lever guns ,pellet guns heck I installed one a Walther Co2 Winchester 94 reproduction BB gun.
