My son skipped the helmet with this book
Being a new mom is overwhelming. Dr visits seem so brief and not very thorough. If you are at the point that you are doing research and taking your childs health, wellness and head shape into your own hands buy this book. It was so helpful to understanding what was going on with my sons head and sent me in the direction we needed to go to start reversing it. I didn't use this book alone. I also used the Mimos pillow, an osteopathic cranial pediatric manipulator and recently a pediatric chiropractor. There are many ways of helping the flat head syndrome but the biggest impact is changing habits at home. This book will start you on that path and encourage you along the way.

Not much new information
I bought this book to understand strategies to reposition my babies’ head, but I didn’t find anything useful that you wouldn’t find online. The only useful tip I got out of reading the pages was to measure the head to understand if you are making progress. Although I would say this is a consolidation of all the information found online, some of the information at the end is repetitive so I skimmed over them

Nothing I haven't read for free
Sadly this book had no additional information that was helpful on the topic. Save your money and just use google to get repositioning tips. Read the entire book and each chapter had the same recommendation over and over again

Wish I'd read this before having a baby!
The whole book could really be distilled down to a couple of graphics she has (especially the pyramid of time by positions), but that alone is priceless. If I'd read this before having my son, I would have been SO much more prepared and knowledgable about avoiding a flat spot. Instead, by (very religiously) using her suggestions, he has almost outgrown his flat spot, even though it was pretty significant.

Very helpful and quick/easy read
I had noticed some mild flattening on my babe's head but dr said it was no big deal. I stumbled across this book and got it. I found it very helpful and comforting; it validates my concerns & guided me through trying to correct. I wish I'd had this info before my baby was born! I believe we're on our way to correction with the help of this book though!

Awsome! Very easy to read, very helpful and was effective! I found about my baby's flat head at his 2 month birthday and now he is 4.5 months with almost normally round head.

Ok read
It was a lot of general info, things I already knew. So it was a good reminder but didnt really learn anything new.

Must read for any new parents
I wish I had this book earlier. Hospitals or pediatricians should hand these out. Great practical tips

The corresponding website leads you to believe that by purchasing the book you will learn important facts and special ‘fixes’ for flat head syndrome. This is not the case. For the large part the book regurgitates what is already available now online and drags out the same information chapter after chapter. Not worth purchasing.

Useful but could have been shorter
The book provides good information and tips on flat head syndrome. It is useful. Written in a very considerate and reassuring perspective. But the actual content could possibly have been delivered in much less pages that's why one less star.

Great book, already recommend it to other parents
Full disclosure, I ordered this book after my son had a helmet for his brachycephaly with plagiocephaly and we were already in physio for his torticolis. So we were not able to apply a lot of what the author suggested to reduce the flat spots he had.But with that being said, this book is fantastic and I have already recommended it to a few friends going through the same thing. This issue makes many parents stressed and worried and the tricks, tips and information are awesome! Definitely something I will apply should we have more children! Thank you.

A invaluable resource for new parents
New parents: the information in this book is excellent. Unfortunately, it wasn't until I noticed my tummy-time hating 3 month old son had a prominent flat spot that I sought out information and found this book. Although I really wish I had known how to position him properly from birth and prevented the flat spot all together, I now feel more empowered to prevent it from getting worse. And fingers crossed, hopefully it will even improve in the coming months! The strategies are simple and so far, pretty manageable to implement into daily life.
