We like red wine however we don’t tend to think about giving the wine enough time to breathe. Pulling out and later washing the decanter is a hassle. The item came in a nice box, with the item secured by foam and would be completely “giftable” directly from Amazon.I was skeptical having only used a decanter and not an aerator before but could really taste the difference in the flavor even on cheaper bottles of wine. We tried a zip before and after. After using the aerator, it seems like the wine had more of a softer flavor that was less bitter to my palate. We just popped open a bottle of wine, attached the aerator, and poured. It was easy to use and there were no leaks. You could see the wine actually mixing with the air bubbles and heard a sloshing, mixing sound.The design looks sturdy and I see that the product is non-toxic with FDA-approved materials. I rinsed the aerator under water but would love to know if it is dishwasher safe. We tossed the aerator in the drawer and it will be ready to go for our next bottle. I am glad I bought this. I generally prefer white or blush wines because red wines seem bitter to me. Ive been told that letting the wine breath will fix that but ive just never taken the time to try it. When i got the chance to try this aerator i thought it was worth buying a bottle (or 2) of red wine.To test it, i bought 2 bottles of the exact same wine. I drank 1 strwight from the bottle (with friends). The 2nd bottle we used the aerator. I poured it immediately after attaching it to the bottle. First, even the pourer is great. Easier and less messy than pouring from the bottle. 2nd, it really was less bitter!! The taste was smoother and fresher than the first bottle. Im not sure that this converted me to a red wine drinker, but it made a vig positive difference and i highly recommend it.I recieved this product for free in exchange for my honest review

Easy to use and clean

Terrific. I love to watch the many bubbles as I pour. Aerating newer wines improves greatly but this pourer is so simple to use.
