The rubber seems like it will last a long time
I used this on my dumbbell rack. The smaller dumbbells handles would hit the metal edge. I put this on to protect the edge so the paint won't chip. The rubber seems like it will last a long time, and prevents the 'clang' when I drop the dumbbells on the rack. It went on with a little force, and it will obviously stay in place very well. It has little metal 'horseshoe' pieces in it to keep the shape, and they are designed to allow flexibility. I have photos showing the edge before and after using this, and as you can see, the edge is just under a quarter inch, and after placing the trim on, it's just under a half inch. Not sure why Amazon flipped a couple of my photos, but you should be able to figure them out.I have added a couple photos that show the bend radius, the tighter one is with the opening pointing down, and the larger radius is with the opening pointing to the inside.

Perfect fit and heavy duty!
This product worked perfectly!! I used this to put on my bar stools that have a metal edge that is kind of sharp for socked feet. I didn't think I'd be able to find anything that would suit for the job. I can't believe how perfectly it fit and worked!! You need a hacksaw to cut it to size. It slips on nice and tight and doesn't move at all. It seems like it will hold up forever. Even if you are wearing shoes . And if you want to take it off and replace it, it will slide off.

ORIENTAL RUG EDGE - TUCK IN WHITE FRINGE
The white string like edge of oriental rugs can get thinner over the years through walking on it and vacuum use. We decided to give this edge a try. I was able to tuck the string off to the direction away from the application edge. I did have to pry it open to a wide mouth and used the pointy handle of narrow screw driver to open it. Take NOTE that there are different gripper edges. For some reason the first time I tried, it looked as though it was not fat enough. I think flipping it over and more muscle did the trick. This is not something for the weak. It was a royal pain. We were shocked, it actually looks like it belongs. Just try and get the tuck in EVEN with the oriental carpet pattern as once you crimp this in place, you don't even want to ever go back to correct this. No instructions.

Great for truck doors!
I've been trying to park my truck in my garage next to my wife's mini van. Unfortunately, it gets a bit tight in the garage. In an effort to prevent excess dings and scratches caused by opening the doors into walls or the mini van, I bought some edge trim from AutoZone. Bad idea. The trim seeped glue onto the paint. Passengers would then track the glue everywhere. After spending over an hour cleaning the old glue/trim off, I sought to buy something that used friction alone. That's when I found this bad boy. It is certainly thicker/stronger than anything you can find at a local auto parts store. This edge trim perfectly went around each curve of the door. I've seen no movement in the trim over the last two months. I would definitely recommend this trim for anyone with a truck or a vehicle that can stand a bit of a utilitarian appearance. Given the thickness and the reinforcements within the trim, it provides a bit of a utilitarian/rugged appearance.

Heavy duty trim.
I cut out a trunk panel assembly from 3/16 “ pressboard and covered it with thin foam and cloth material, then used this as an edge covering. I had to use my Dremel cutter to trim it evenly flush on the ends because the metal “horseshoes” can’t be cut with a razor blade. You can only use a razor between them on the tiny raised ribs. I used a small rubber hammer to tap it on, very tight fit. It turned decent even around the curves. It appears to be good quality, good grip and durable.

Fits perfectly and does its job
I extended the sides of the bed in an RV with some plywood and bought this to cover the edges so as to prevent my wife and I from getting splinters from rubbing against those edges. The trim fit the 1/4 inch plywood perfectly and the little "feet" inside the trim seem to keep it from slipping back off. I would have preferred if the outside of the trim was smoother and it would have been nice if the trim was available in white so as to keep the bedroom in the RV brighter, but this did what I wanted and seems to work perfectly.I did think it was a bit pricey for plastic trim, but it does the job so well that I really can't deduct a star in the overall rating, although I did so in the Value For Money section.

trimming with instaloled metao clips
when installing, the metal clips posed a problem two ways. first when trimming for length, the metal clips got in the way. (need some way to show where they are). with the clips, after pushing on the seal to my fiberglass item, they (the clips) scrapped the paint and if the seal needs to come off, a paints touch up will be necessary.Maybe you can produce the same item without the paint scraping clips. would much rather have a adhesive strip to hold it on.

Dog pen trim against rust
I purchased this to create a trim on my dog pen. When he was a puppy and made mistakes between that and cleaning products the pen eventually started to rust on the bottom. The pen is still good but the rust started to stain the floor so instead of purchasing a new one I looked for something to cover the bottom. The 1st product failed to work, saw this one and took a chance. It was a little difficult to install due to having to fold it for the pen four corners but the end result is what I was looking for. So far I’m satisfied, wish I’d purchased when the pen was new.

Absolutely brilliant
A brilliant product. I used it on my doors and tailgate on my 4x4 .You need a hacksaw to cut to length. Easily moulded even around tight corners and unlike other similar products no glue required as the little teeth hold it securely in place. It's fare to say that it is somewhat industrial looking and it may not look right on a sports car but on a truck, 4x4, estate, van etc it looks just the job.I thoroughly recommend this product and would give 5+ star if it was an option 😁

Excellent.
Very thick and sturdy. Only when cutting it did I realise there are small metal clips like bits in the plastic that give it a good hold on the car door, just make sure you cut between them, it's alot easier.

Stop that rattle!
I recently bought a Can-Am Defender with the OEM doors. The doors are great, however, the frame is steel and when you are riding in the trails, that frame makes a a horrible rattle against the bike's frame. I thought of buying the standard soft rubber weather stripping for car doors but stumbled on this product instead. As usual, it arrived quickly. It was in a simple clear bag with a plain sticker labeling the contents. As soon as I opened it, I noticed that it felt of pretty good quality. It was very sturdy but not so stiff that you couldn't work with it. I measured out a length of it to wrap around the door frame and cut it. When trying to cut it, I noticed it was very tough to actually cut. That is because it's ribbed with steel inside to keep it strong. It was a pretty easy install overall. Once it was cut to length, I just pushed it on the frame lip. It fit like a glove and was very snug. After the install, we took it back out for a ride and it made a world of difference. That annoying rattle was finally gone! After quite a few rides now, it's still held up in place without moving a millimeter.I'm going to be buying another roll of this to put around a large piece of plexi-glass for a makeshift rear window. This should frame it out very nicely and it should have more than enough grip to stay in place. Overall, it's an excellent product.Pros:-Great price-Quality construction-Tight gripCons:-A bit tough to cut
