can you give this to puppies after useing nemex 2 a week ago ? it doesnt seem to be working.

Hi. Let me start off by saying: I'm not a vet. I'm a dog breeder. You didnt mention the age of the puppies. Puppies should be dewormed with a pyrantel based wormer (which nemex is) at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks. On the 8 wk mark, some deworm with pyrantel again. I use Panacur C, which is a fenbendazole dewormer. It is a much stronger dewormer (not even recommended for use in puppies less than 6 weeks or 5 lbs of weight). I'm not sure what you're seeing that makes you think the puppy's dewormer isn't working? Giving the fenbendazole dewormer after a 2 wk period will not be more harmful than giving it without the pyrantel based one. However if the puppy is very young, or has compromised health I would bring it for a vet check, to check for parasites. This requires a stool sample, which you can bring in, or they can get at the vet.If you're referring to an older puppy, and have noticed worm problems like scooting or worms in the stool, then unless it has compromised health or is under 5 lbs, I would feel free to use the Panacur C 3 day regimen, dosed carefully, knowing it can be a little tough on their delicate tummies-- (read: diarrhea, tummy upset). I hope this helps, I've tried to cover all the possibilities. I would not deworm a dog more than a year old with this, or any dewormer, unless I had them vet checked for heart worms. If they've got a serious problem, deworming too quickly can be harmful. Generally you would also deworm with pyrantel at 12 and 16 weeks, and then get on a heartworm regimen with your vet and reduce deworming to once or twice a year. This is all in addition to regular advised vaccinations.One final note, other than when they're tiny puppies, at 2,4,6,8,12 & 16 wks old.. it is advised by a vet to get a parasite check every 6 months instead of just seasonal deworming. This is a new thing they've started to reduce deworming when not necessary, and to combat the chance of a development of a "superworm", a drug resistant worm. Just like with overuse of antibiotics. Just like with anything, if you're in doubt, you can always call your vet's office, they don't charge to ask a question. :) Good luck!

The expiration date is different for each lot. The expiration date of my most recent order is 6/22 (June 2022).

How many packages are in this?

There are 3 , and you have to give all 3 over a 3 day time frams. One daily per your pet's weight. For cats -the yellow box which is 1 gram packet each, will treat a cat up to 10 lbs, once daily. Dogs the same...but it is not for kittens or puppies.
