A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) pet storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s pet movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. You MUST get this book!
This book immediately took me back to my childhood memories of endlessly wishing for a pet! This absolutely ADORABLE book had me laughing out loud and immediately made me a fan of the ostrich! I read this to my students as well and they were giggling with laughter throughout the book while falling in love with the characters and story. The whimsical rhyme keeps you flipping for more while the darling illustrations keep you right there in the moment. To say we all LOVED this book is an understatement...we ADORED it! Needless to say that I highly recommend that you MUST get this book today!

She thinks about a cat or a parrot, but decides she wants a unique pet.One night she wishes upon a star for an ostrich! The next day, Sally gets her wish. But an ostrich proves to be a problem pet for many reasons. Will Sally ever find the perfect pet?The book contains lots of humor and vibrant illustrations. Primary grade and preschool readers will want to hear it read aloud. Bonus questions included at the end of the tale stimulate discussion and creativity among young readers.

Cute
Cute little story for kids. I know mine will enjoy it when I read it to them. The pictures are great and the tale is just goofy enough to keep them engaged. I like the prompts at the end of the book. Those are fantastic for young readers.

Such a FUN book for children of ALL ages!!
Do Not Wish For A Pet Ostrich is such a FUN book that will instantly captivate readers with its silly sweet rhymes and delightful storyline. When the main character, Sally, gets her wish for a pet ostrich, an exciting adventure begins that will have children (and adults) laughing out loud!! The colorful pictures are hilarious and support the story very well. This is a must have for the classroom library and will become a favorite bedtime story for sure! I highly recommended this adorable book!

We really liked reading this story! My 5y was telling the whole time "she's gonna regret that" Also love the questions at the end is a fun way to see her reading comprehension.

Amazing rhyming story that all children (and adults) will love
Our 2 year old enjoyed this funny rhyming story of a girl who wanted a pet ostrich. The rhythm and rhyme is fantastic and enhances the humorous tone of the story. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and keep the younger readers fully engaged.I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to every parent out there. It is so much fun to read with your little ones.Can’t wait for more books from this author!

What a fun cute book about a little girl's wish. Haven't we all wished on a star. Here's it just happened to come true!!!! This story will spark the imagination but be careful what you wish for. It is beautifully illustrated. Her parents told her that she could have a pet but one that she would never forget. She looked around at other peoples pets. Then she decided on one and made her wish upon a star. Let the magic begin!!!
