Not very soft like the ones I remember
Not soft at all. Kinda rough. Not sandpaper rough, but they arent pleasant. I hope a couple of washes help, but I sort of doubt it.

stiffer and less silky than a woobie
This is not the drapey silky poncho liner that my dad brought home from Vietnam, I was looking for those qualities. It is a nice blanket with all the good attributes of the poncho, lightweight and warm. I like the black color. I will keep looking for that drapey silky poncho if you can add a link in the comments I will appreciate it.

Thin & Uncomfortable Material
This is lightweight and large in size, but the material is very thin and uncomfortable ...not what you'd expect in a woobie. I returned it immediately.
