Amazed at the shifting for the price
This appears to shift as good as the mid-90s LX derailers I use in my vintage bike builds. Brand new, for less than half the price I usually pay for used equipment- and shifts as well.Easy to install, easy to adjust. Will update if I have any problems. A great buy for a cheap bike I was given- Diamondback Response XE, which arrived with a thrashed rear freewheel and hub. Built a new wheel and decided to go 9 speed while doing it- Microshift derailer, cassette, and KMC chain. Turned out the bike was built with a Microshift front derailer, so the one I bought for this build can be used elsewhere. It's an entirely Microshift drivetrain now, and seems to work perfectly.

Works With Shimano Road Shifter
Works with road shifters. I asked this question but don't see it so I'll answer here. I have older 105 9 speed on a cross bike and I just set it up on the stand. Also, this derailleur has a lot of range. I'm conservatively at 34t for low gear and I think this derailleur would swing a 40t, and would probably/possibly work with 10 speed. I don't have anything 10 speed right now so I can't confirm or deny that it would work, but again I think you could get 40t 10 speed out of this. Rating 5 stars. Will update.

Bargain shifter
Easy to like this rear shifter. The cage easily accommodated a 36T sprocket. Setup with Shimano levers was simple and changes are smooth. It appears robust and while you may want to replace the idlers at some point, for this money it is a deal.

Good Quality, Low Price
It is definitely in the same functional quality with its more expensive counter parts. I don't know the durability, since I've recently started to use. But it seems very stiff.

Works, not for 40t cassette
Easy install on a 90s mtb revamp. Looks good and shifts well with a bar end shifter. Could not handle a 40t cassette however, thought it might be able to.
