Amazon Essentials Women's Knit Ballet Flat

Sacrificing style for comfort
These flats are very comfy and affordable, I mean super comfy right out of the box, with no pinching or squeezing. Here’s the problem: when I wear black flats, I want to feel like Audrey Hepburn, and the cut of the uppers make me feel like Audrey Hepburn’s orthopedic aunt. I don’t mind that the toe is round, but I wish the foot opening were cut a little longer, possibly showing some ‘toe cleavage.’ I’ll keep the shoes, and maybe I’ll learn to like the but I do wish they had a more stylish cut.

Finally flats my size!
I love these ballerina flats! I’ve spent months trying to find a cute pair of business casual women’s shoes that actually fit my large feet. (I’m a size 12 in men’s and size 14 in women’s.) It is almost impossible to find women’s shoes in larger sizes, so I was ecstatic to receive these in the mail and have them fit perfectly. They’re simple yet versatile and I can wear them with most outfits. The price was very reasonable too. (I actually spent twice as much on another pair of flats from China that took forever to arrive and then were too small. I couldn’t return them either because the cost of shipping them back would have been much more than I’d paid for the shoes.) I’m really thankful that Amazon Essentials has made basic necessities like these readily available, and affordable, for people like me!

The soles are too narrow for a wide
The upper is very stretchy like a sock. It will definitely fit at wide foot at the top, but the sole is very narrow, narrow than my foot. The fabric upper also wraps around to the sole. The only thing between the outside edge of your feet and the ground is the stretchy fabric upper. I can definitely see walking a hole through the bottom. These are house shoes only or to only be worn for 1 or 2 occasions and then they will be trash.

How can a shoe be both too big and too small?
Ok, so this review has a caveat: My feet are probably not like yours. I lived in barefoot/minimalist shoes for a decade, until I kinda gave up and started wearing men's keens. I just spent 6 months wearing flip flops and men's open toed sport sandals. So my toes have a healthy, natural spread that most of you probably don't have. That being said, if you have wide feet this review is for you. If you think these might be a good, cheap semi minimalist or barefoot shoe, they are absolutely not. They probably wouldn't pinch my toes if I had been wearing normal women's shoes for the last decade. However, I bought a 11.5 wide. Usually I'm just a straight 11 but I figured my feet have spread out a bit. It seems as though they put a wide upper on a decidedly not wide sole. My entire pinky toe and half of my big toe hang over the edge of the inner sole. And they are both too short and fall off, so they are also somehow too big? My toes are scrunched while my heel just falls right out. The soles are too narrow but the sides are too wide. If I had gone up to a 12w they would have fallen right off. I can't even imagine trying to wear a 12 not wide.I didn't get around to returning them so maybe the toes will break in a bit. They also have a very rubbery inner part in the toes that keeps the shape there, but it also keeps it from stretching where I need it to most. Plus, rubbery stuff doesn't feel good on bare skin. So I'll need no show socks or something.I'll probably use these for job interviews or something and just keep another pair of shoes in the car. I should have just shelled out for Xero shoes.

Meh
Product arrived on time and in good condition. They also appeared truly new, not like someone had worn them and then returned. The shoes themselves.... Fit weird for me.I ordered my normal size and they were very tight around the toe box and against the top of my foot. I walked around my house a bit, trying to figure whether they would just need 'breaking in' but no.I returned them, and will not purchase again.

Flats for wide feet
Finally! Flats for wide feet. Normally, I have to size up half a size To an 8.5 for my wide feet to be able to fit. I ordered an 8 wide and they fit perfectly. They hurt a little breaking them in, but nothing like the stinging pains of regular flats. The price is also incredible and they are comfy. I wish there were more options in my size.

VERY cute and GREAT value!
I definitely wish I would have sized down for this, it’s at least a half inch too big. I’m usually between a 6.5 and a 7, but 7 is usually the safest bet. I bet I could fit in a 6 in this style. However, I’m hanging on to these because I got them at a great price and they still feel super comfortable. These are absolutely adorable and versatile, and feel like they will stay on my feet perfectly.

Don’t buy. Trust me
Not comfortable at all and definitely no support. I’m not one that really cares or needs a lot of support, but I do prefer my foot to stay in the middle of the shoe and not drift to the side when I put it on. I definitely would not recommend these shoes and I will never end up wearing mine.

Like walking on little clouds
I love these. Come up a little small so if you're between sizes maybe order a half size or size up. Like walking on little clouds. So much lovely padding on the sole. Stretchy fabric so no breaking in or blisters!! Bargain at around ten quid.

Super cute
Super cute - if a little too roomy, which is much better than pinching. Material is good, and real flats too so perfect for cropped pants/maxi dresses

Comfortable and excellent value
As someone who has wide feet, I struggle to get comfortable shoes. These are amazing!:)

Smaller than I expected.
They were too small and I couldn’t get my correct size.
