A great laptop but you need to tweak settings to get the most out of it.
This is a great little laptop if what you're looking for is something to browse the web, edit documents or video chat. Be aware that if you're looking for a gaming laptop then you're better off looking elsewhere but that's going to be the same for any laptop based on this chipset. My review for this laptop is based on its use as a second device used for browsing the web, editing documents and basic image editing. It's not my main machine and the review reflects this. This laptop is a bargain for it's price, the screen is pretty exceptional at this price point, a step up from the FHD (1920x1080) screens most laptops come with, and you get what is referred to as a 2k screen (that's 2560x1440) so that's quite a bump.It also comes with a backlit screen which is usually reserved for laptops at the higher end.Unfortunately to keep costs down the laptop uses a pretty old and underwhelming chipset, and that's where you see the cost saving. The processor in this is really pretty slow and would kill the laptop for things like gaming or video editing but for everything else, it's more than adequate. This brings me on to battery life. Although the stated battery life is 6 hours, out of the box you're hard pressed to get 3 let alone 6, but with a little teak of the settings, 6 hours is perfectly achievable without too much of a hit on performance. If you really want your 6 hours of battery life, or pretty close, you need to turn off the backlit keyboard, turn down the screen brightness to minimum and use the Power Optimisation settings in Windows and set it to Best Power Efficiency.Once you do that, then 6 hours is easily within reach.Overall as a cheap end laptop, I really couldn't be happier. It does what it says and with just a few changes has fantastic battery life.

So almost perfect, apart from battery life
I really love this laptop because it's compact, very slim, feels well built, looks amazing, and has a generous amount of memory and storage for this price point. The backlit keys look amazing (which can easily be turned off/on). It's powerful enough to handle all office applications and web browsing with loads of open tabs. It will run games that have low requirements. The CPU is one of Intel's more powerful low-end chips and runs Windows smoothly. The screen is very sharp due to the super high resolution - beyond HD and almost 4K. It does make the text very tiny but Windows 10 lets you increase the font size while keeping everything sharp. Now the negative points. The battery lasts about 2.5 hours which is nowhere near the 6 hours claimed. Some reviews here have said they get 6 hours but either they're fake/paid reviews or they were just lucky to receive a battery that can run for that long. It takes a long time to charge the battery - 3 to 4 hours.Overall it's very good value, despite the short battery life. You won't find another laptop anywhere near this price point that provides as much RAM and storage with a very high resolution screen in 2022. (I shan't predict what 2023 or beyond will bring.) Luckily we're mostly using it where a power socket is available but it would have been nice to have the assurance many more hours of battery life are available if the need arises. If 4 to 6 hours of battery life is critical for you then this isn't the laptop for you. If you don't need more than 2.5 hours or you'll be using it mostly plugged-in, then you will love this Gemibook Pro 14.

Isn't good
At first I liked it a lot, it was fast, but after a few days it stopped working like that, and most of the time everything is fine, but sometimes it takes a long time to log in. Now, after 11 weeks I bought more or less, I bought it on March 19th, it doesn't charge well, in fact it is connected, but it is still discharging, Yesterday I was working and my laptop turned off and when I tried to connect the battery it was 4 percent.Very disappointed because, in addition to these two problems, the laptop is fine, but it takes a long time to login and lose power when it is connected is not good

Great quality laptop, it's quick, has long battery life and runs cool and silent.
I would have been happy with this laptop had I paid twice as much for it. The quality is excellent and the metal body feels and looks high qualify. The format of the 14 inch display makes the laptop compact and light and its high resolution, brightness, contrast and colour accuracy make photos and videos look stunning. The Celeron N5100 processor is plenty quick enough with 4 cores making multitasking a breeze and it runs cool and silent (I haven't heard any fans running at all - it might not have one). The 8G RAM and 256G SSD and performance is more than enough for my needs (Web browsing, videos, photo editing, programming, office apps). I haven't played any games on it yet so I can't comment on how good it is gaming.I've seen some reviews here questioning the battery life and performance. I have found that it takes at least three 100% charging / discharging cycles before Windows 11 is able to give a realistic on battery run time estimate. On unpacking I left it to charge for a hour before turning it on, it said the battery was 95% charged with a run time of 2hrs30 it actualy ran for 5hrs before getting down to 20% when I plugged it in again while running updates. It now estimates 6hrs running from full charge. Also when first booting up and connecting to WiFi/Internet Windows 11 is very busy downloading and installing updates and it took a while for all the device drivers to update. Once everything had settled down the performance and battery life are excellent.I'm suprisingly very happy with my purchase given I'd only ever used big brand (Dell, HP, Lenovo) Intel Core i5 and i7 laptops before and wasn't sure about this and other similar brands. The quality of this laptop is impressive at any price. I would recommend it.
