When it says mini it means mini, but the whole thing is a cool idea for the rock lovers and their collection! Altho it doesn’t exactly match up with the stones pictured on the back of the package that it shows! It would have saved me from a few mins of confusion when I had tried to match the pieces with the various stones pictured on the box, realizing that it differed in the actual product received!! Altho it is disclosed that it was not an exact match, I would have been more than happy if it was more clear I still think it is just as fun to have the challenge of correctly identifying each individual piece!

I based the expected size of these stones on the picture of the hand holding the stones. I did not purchase the chips- I know what size those are. I purchased the regular ones in a pack of 20 (times 3 sets). The stones are significantly smaller than pictured, and not a good value for the money in my opinion. They remind me of the bin at the museum gift shop that has the very small stones that you can dig through- slightly larger than chips but not big enough to be of any real value- not even as big as the ones that you can fill a little drawstring bag full of for $5. I could have fit every stone I received- a total of 60- into a small 3" x 4" drawstring bag with over half the bag still empty. The stones were very small.I was also very disappointed that the stones were not labeled at all, and felt like the listing implies you will know which stones are what when you get them. The box they arrive in has a chart of stones pictured on the back with the names of the stones, and at least one or two look misidentified to me. That would be a wonderful way to show me what stones I had received- IF the pictures were of the stones I received! They were not. SOME of the stones were pictured and easily identifiable, like rose quartz, amethyst, clear quartz, and tiger's eye. But I received many generic type stones that were probably in the jasper family and were of varying colors. I have no clue what they are. Also some of the photos are so vague that you MIGHT have that stone but it doesn't match up with the stone that you actually received in enough ways so you can't with confidence call it that, and it's just as likely it might be something completely different.I'm also disappointed that I received two dyed howlite stones in each box (I ordered 3 sets of 20) which felt like filler.Finally, there was one or two that were chipped and not even a whole tiny stone, just a fragment shard of a tiny stone.Not worth the trouble to send them back, but I won't buy anything else from this company. I feel like their advertisement of this product is a bit misleading. These are probably a fair stocking stuffer for a kid who doesn't care. I did care and I am not happy with my purchase.Buyer beware.

These do look as pictured, but be sure to read the size. They always look MUCH bigger in the photo. They're okay; I wouldn't give them as a gift.

I adore this set. I bought a couple more. I am learning to identify gems and crystals. My oldest who is three also thinks this is cool. It is unhelpful that the package doesn't tell the buyer what stones are inside but it makes the adventure more fun because you have to look. Yes they are small about dime sized, but so neat!! The crystals were REAL AND NOT GLASS which is what made me get another couple sets.Update since second purchase: while the gemstones do repeat I don't mind the addition to my collection. Still worth the buy to me and I will continue to do so. 😊

This was exactly what I was wanting for my son in terms of look, size, and shape. He loves rock and gemstone collecting, and this was the perfect size for him. The only annoying problem is that the box shows a bunch of uncut stones that don't match the actual contents. Some of the stones are fairly obvious (ie: tigerseye, aventorine, and rose quartz), but there are others (shown on the box) that are not in the set at all. (ie snowflake obsidian.)There are at least two glittery stones that I'm suspicious are glass.That said - great for a kid or someone who just wants some cool stones for their collection. Not-so-great from an educational standpoint. (Though we did spend some time together on the internet looking up stones)

These eggs are so cute and perfect for what I needed them for! They’re mini’s and are pretty easy to decipher which is which. It’s true that on the back of the box it doesn’t help if you’re looking to learn about what’s inside but a quick google search would lead you in the right direction. I’m so happy!!

The reviews made me skeptical but there so nice I love all of them I don’t know why people were upset about size they look the same on the photo. Plus rocks are expensive this was a great starter set for someone❤️
