Love it. Very durable.
I just ordered a new one to replace the one I've been using for 12 years. The crusher handle finally broke, but I'm not complaining because I never expected it to last so long. We probably crush an average of 8 cans a day X 365 X 12 years, so by my calculations we have crushed roughly 35,000 cans with this unit. It has paid for itself many times over with the money we collect from the recycler. We line the container with heavy-duty contractor bags so it doesn't get gross inside. When I have a pickup load of bags piled up, we then head to the recycle station and come away with 80 to 90 bucks. There is a little bit of a learning curve when you first use it because it crushes the can in a unique way. You lay the can on its side, and it crushes the can on the side and folds the ends over. Then when you lift the handle, it spits the can into a slot. After you figure it out, you don't even think about it... it's automatic. Every once in awhile, you'll need to clean the crusher lid 'cause the pop or beer can leaks a little sometimes. There are little holes below the can slot to keep it from spilling down the side. It is built like a commercial unit, something a business lunch room would use. It kind of surprised me when it broke. I thought it would last forever! I highly recommend this product.

Do you want you taxes to pay for recylcing.
That was the icing on my cake. I pay taxes to the local government to pay a company to recycle cans etc. So with this mighty and strong crusher, I take them in myself. While it is only 5 dollars on average it is money that city isn't paying out.One word of caution, if you keep it in the house make sure all cans are rinsed as this can help foster fruit flies. I was easily able to eliminate them but a garage would have eliminated my concern entirely.

Overpriced
After reading the two reviews, I purchased it and was I ever disappointed! It's nothing more than an overpriced, lightweight plastic trash can with a poorly designed plastic can crusher on top. A horrible value and wish I had not purchased.

Can crusher and container in one is great. The can crusher is made of rigid plastic and I don't worry about it breaking or bending like I have with other can crushers.

Awesome!
This is sooo cool! It works as promised and makes a tedious job of crushing cans fun.Me and my husband love it. Set the can in and pull the lever, can slides into hole and in the bag-no odor either!

A great product that I can easily recommend
I bought an EZ Can Crusher many years ago and it performed beautifully for nearly a decade. I liked it so much that when our first one broke I ordered a new one on Amazon to replace it. It as kept our break room clean, is easy to maintain, and is built to last.

Wish I'd had it years ago
I bought the EZ Can Crusher and Recycler 4 years ago. I love it. Wish I'd had it for longer than the 4 yrs. I have. It's easy to crush the cans flat, and they fall right into the collection bin. I have the bin lined with a plastic garbage bag, so all I have to do is pull the bag, close it and off to the recycle center I go. No mess. For years I used a can crusher mounted on a post on the patio, and had to crush the can then drop in a plastic garbage bag, then move the bag to an out of the way location and do the process all over again until I had the bag full. No more. This unit is all self contained. Hard plastic receptable, easy to clean, durable. If this one ever wears out, I'd definitely want another.
