Ideal size however channel signal strength was not good with towers 30 or more miles away.
I purchased 3 antennas, the August DTA245, August DTA250 & ATSC WennoW 10 feet HDTV. I prefer the physical dimensions of tATSC WennoW antenna because it is less noticeable. If I could find an antenna of the size of either of the three antennas or smaller than performs well indoors with or without amplifications that would be great. I was looking for a low profile antenna to setup along side my flat screen or within the entertainment center (open area). I purchased both the August DTA 250 High Gain TV Aerial, I could move it around and get some of the available channels in one direction and different channels in another direction. I connected the DTA 250 to a Radio Shack Antenna Mhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00993HK20/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1ounted High-Gain Signal Amplifier Model#1500321 and the signals strength of the channels improved significantly as I moved the antenna further away from tv and entertainment center. I assume there is electrical interference that the smaller antenna cannot overcome. I also tried the even smaller August DTA245 Amplified Digital TV Aerial - Portable Indoor/Outdoor 25dB amplified high gain aerial antenna, it unfortunately did work nearly as well. It was tested in several locations: 1.no amplification, 2. amplified with its amplifier, 3. amplified with Radio Shack Antenna Mounted High-Gain Signal Amplifier Model#1500321 and 4. amplified with both amplifiers which was worse than being connected unamplified. By the way The Radios Shack Antenna Amplifier Model 1500321 specifications are: Frequency 54MHz to 806MHz; FM Trap > 15dB at 100MHz; Gain: 33dB typical; Noise figure: 3.5dB typical. I also tested the ATSC WennoW 10 feet HDTV Mobile Antenna with Magnet Mount for Car / RV... in the same manner and locations as with the other two antennas. Its advertised as a 10ft antenna but is under 5 6/8 inches or approximately 14.5mm from the base to the tip and very small in diameter as compared to the August DTA antennas (I really wanted it work because it hardly noticeable). The ATSC WennoW hdtv aerial antenna @ $11.99 and the August DTA250 High Gain TV Aerial @ $4.25 slightly outperformed the August DTA245 amplified digital aerial antenna @ $11.45. Because of the low price and the good customer service experience I am keeping all three antennas, although neither came close to the performance of RCA 1050R digital flat antenna purchased for $14.99 or the even better performing GE 34763-1 Ultra Flat Digital Amplified Antenna @ $29.96 Wal-Mart combined with the Radio Shack Amplifier.

He is very pleased. I trust him
My review is a repeat of a review given to me personally by my Techhie Guru friend whom I called when I was contemplating getting off of cable TV. The above antenna I ordered sits on my desk awaiting my scheduling the time to switch my TV from cable to this small antenna. My Tech guy told me he found this antenna after having ordered and using quite a few other more expensive antennas. He said he serendipitously found a huge boost for this small antenna's reception by hooking it to the metal window frame near the TV. The reception was multiplied exponentially and he encouraged me to get this for my TVs. He is very pleased. I trust him, so I feel okay to share his wisdom. He reminded me that 'aluminum' window frames won't work, but there are several other places in the home to find a metal to fasten it to......such as framing along the edges of corners, etc. I hope this helps you. Also, I felt comfortable trying this with the reasonable price!

I really like the size now – people hardly notice it
I was shocked when I opened the envelope. After reading all the reviews, I figured that this might work for my off-road teardrop. The thing is small – very small. I did not get it in time for my last camping trip. So, I have only tried it out in the driveway and in my backyard shed. I live in the San Fernando Valley and about 35 miles from the broadcast antennas. First try – 150+ channels found. Same at both locations. My rooftop antenna pulls more, as it receives stations 50+ miles. I miss a few PBS stations transmitting from San Bernardino.Magnet could be stronger but OK. I really like the size now – people hardly notice it. If it works on vacations I will buy another one for the shed.

So small thought it was a joke
I ordered this to use on my camper. When I got it in a tiny envelope I thought I'd been had. The antenna is only about six inches tall, not the ten feet I was expecting. The attached cable is the ten foot part. We live far from any stations so have had little luck with reception. To my surprise this pulled in ten stations when I put it on the camper roof. I'm experimenting with attaching it to a metal fence post to add to the reception, but it seems like it will work fine for the purpose I have in mind. It looked like there were some alternative suppliers for "mini" antennas that may be cheaper but some reviewers said that the coax cable needed an adapter. This unit works right away. Plug and play into the coaxial slot. No adapter needed. It will be very easy to pack!

Works great for my horse trailer!
I just stick it outside on a metal bolt and wow! Lots of channels most places. Cannot beat the price.

Oustanding for a small antenna
This antenna is small and lightweight, perfect to handle and durable. I have purchase other attena's they either tooo bulky, fragil and have poor resection out of 4 attenas I had purchase this is the best so far. It picks 26 channels when I used to pick only 4 to 9. Channels. The base of the antenna is a magnet it makes it easy to pleace it differnt spot. The nearest station to my area is about 20 miles, but all channels comes real clear. The price is oustanding last antena I pay 34.00 plus dollars yes to return it back in the 3rd day. Shipping was fast. I recommend this attena to all my friends.

Works Perfect Out of Package for USA - HDTV
Fits U.S. coaxial HDTV without the need to buy a $5.+ adapter! I reside in the heart of San Francisco with tall buildings that tower all around. I've found that using my air shaft I can obtain practically any off-air station. This antenna, though small and lightweight, works perfect. The magnet makes it possible to move to a specific spot in the metal air shaft where the signal bounces off the wall and where I have marked specific stations at specific places. FINALLY, after literally trying 15 different antennas, indoor, outdoor, motorized, etc... this is one consistently WORKS # 1.3 YEARS LATER.........I have tried several more antennas including radio shack's powered model, this still beat them all!

Surprising for its size
Wasn’t really expecting much, but it does a surprisingly good job. Pulled in stations one of those flat panel antennas couldn’t quite get.
