The clear plastic helps these immensely
First off, I love that these are not white LED's in red packaging. When you wire them correctly, you will be pleasantly surprised at the light they throw out. For reference, all of these are being run at 20 mA, which is the top end of their rating. I bought multiple of them (red, green, blue, violet), which can also be a pain in the rear if you accidentally dump them together (like I did). If that happens to you, just grab a CR2032 watch battery and light them up so you can figure out which is which again :o)The green are actually the brightest of the bunch that I purchased, but the red is a very close second. I'm using most of them to illuminate tombstones for Halloween and only the blue and violet really require two to do the job - red and green honestly only require one. Item arrived as described, but sadly lacking any real detailed specifications. After some tinkering and testing I found a nice balance of voltage and amperage and achieved the desired result. These are very bright, and perfect for use with Arduino hardware.All in all, a decent product at a decent price.

Needed 28 Red LED's and these fit the bill! Uniform Brightness and all worked out of the box.
Was looking for 28 bright Red LED's to operate in unison for a project. These fit the bill perfectly. They are lined up in double rows and I can say they are visually uniform in intensity/brightness. LED's are drawing 18 mA each in my application and working very well.Supplied resistors are 200 ohm, somewhat of an unusual value, but were suitable for my use and are good quality.All LED's and resistors worked out of the box - no rejects.

Worked great, hard to locate identifying groove
Worked great and loved that it came with biasing resistors! Only issue I had was that the flat part was difficult to locate, so make sure you have it installed in the correct position before soldering!

Good for the money
A pile of LEDs at a better price than that former electronics parts store. With included dropping resistors you can do plenty of projects like warning lights on you model train layout structures.

Another Great Value From Microtivity
I have purchased several of the colors from Microtivity and haven't found any problems. These are a great value for what you get, and it's handy because you don't have to track down the appropriate resistor because they have included them for you.

Excellent for the casual tinkerer!
Bought these and several other colors from Microtivity for some hobby projects. Didn't use the included resistors for my project, but the LEDs themselves are excellent! Sturdy and durable. The LEDs are very bright and somewhat directional, but I found the outer shell can be distressed with some fine grain sandpaper for a more diffused look if needed.

bought these the work well not super bright but worked for my application. none of them have burned out besides the ones I over powered
