Precise Laser Tracking, Adjustable Sensitivity, Plug n Play
I received this mouse with my Precision T5500 workstation. It is a great mouse, especially when you consider the price. It has an adjustment button that has 4 settings of tracking sensitivity. Laser tracking is so much more precise and reliable than optical tracking. Installs on Windows 7 (and 8 I'd assume) with no additional drivers. I haven't found another mouse that you can buy for this price that has laser tracking and a sensitivity adjustment button. I have one at work for CAD and I bought one for home use and gaming. If you are looking for the best mouse you can get for $20, buy this you won't be disappointed.

Genuine Dell Mouse
As far as I can tell, this is a brand new, still in the wrapper, genuine Dell laser mouse. NOT used. NOT a knock-off. The instruction sheet is included. I tested it using the DeviceTests website, and all 6 buttons, as well as the scroll wheel have a bounce-free, flawless performance. The DPI switch and indicator are fully functional as well. My Windows 10 PC recognized it instantly and loaded the appropriate driver. Of course, everyone has their personal preference for the shape of a mouse, and no doubt some users will not care for the shape of this mouse. But I am fully satisfied with the shape, and performance of it.

USED product, it doesn't work!!
The mouse came packaged like it was new, however it was not. First thing is it doesn't work! Second, the scroll wheel was all sticky, there was dirt in between the pieces of plastic and when you turn it over, it's obvious that it is not knew due to the wear marks on the pads. Amazon's service has gone into the tank as well. They take no responsibility for anything anymore and somewhere along the line, hide the details so that you are stuck dealing with a "seller" and are required to ship back the product to them! Amazon has gotten too big and has lost their way.

Good bargain, but you get what you pay for
The Dell 6 button USB laser mouse has some great features for a $10-15 mouse. In fact, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better deal in that price range. This is a big chunky mouse and has a DPI button with 4 speed settings. If like me you're moving from an optical to a laser mouse, you might be irritated by how sensitive laser mice are. Even adjusting the settings in Contol Panel/Mouse don't seem to help in my case. Also, if you're used to a small/notebook sized mouse, you'll want to get something smaller. The scroll button alone almost seals the deal; it is smooth as butter and sized very large; the quality of a midrange mousewheel for a budget price. The body design doesn't seem ergonomical with 3/4 of the mass on the back end. If you use it on anything but a flat solid surface , you'll find your wrist partially resting on the back end and it will start to tilt upwards. Without pressure from above pushing the mouse down on a 100% flat surface, the weight won't be distributed evenly and you won't have enough accuracy or precision. Even holding the mouse properly, sometimes your wrist will accidentally push the mouse slightly forward. The Page back and Page forward buttons are well placed and don't get in the way.Why 3 stars instead of 4 or 5? The dreadful right&left click buttons. Simply put, they are WAY too soft and sensitive, which leads to countless single-clicks becoming double-clicks. Changing Mouse doubleclick settings won't help. Strangely enough, many cheap mice have solid clickers and terrible scroll wheels, but here it's the other way around. Be aware of this clicker sensitivity problem with many newer models like this one, because it's very annoying. In summary:PROS:great valueExcellent scroll wheelDPI button with 4 speed settingsWell-placed back & forward page buttonsCONS:over-sensitive right&left click buttons (single=doubleclick issues)chunky non-ergonomical shape

In the beginning it worked fine for a couple of months but now the cursor jump all over the screen and the mouse lost the precision it used to have when it was new. If you give it a puff of compressed air it will improve for a couple of days but then you need to give him another puff. I would not recommend it. It is cheap but not worth the money

Excellent wired mouse at an excellent price
Wired mouses are getting more difficult to find, and I didn't want a wireless mouse because my computer is under the desk and I've read that some of the wireless ones get finicky or skip when they're not next to the receiver. Also there are batteries to replace. This is a great wired mouse at a great price. I like and use the forward and back buttons, and the extra button on top to change the resolution is very nice. Pressing that button lights up from one to four bars on top of the mouse, with each bar corresponding to an increase in the mouse's speed moving across your desktop. With one light it was just like any other mouse; two lights is a nice setting for my wide screen display. I would have given it 5 stars if it were a more ergonomical shape, but its shape is OK.

Simple, Well Designed
I bought his mouse because it is the same as the one provided to me at work and I wanted my home and work mouses (mice?) to match. The scroll is very smooth and I never have any issues even though I don't use a mouse pad. It also is a great size and shape that fits in my hand well. The mouse speed feature, located behind the scroll wheel is a plus, too.

I have bought several of these now...
I really like that the mouse fits nicely in your hand, the side buttons (forward and reverse in internet browsing) are accessible but very unlikely to be accidentally clicked like on my Logitech Wireless Keyboard & Mouse combo. The variable mouse speed button is nice as well for on the fly speed changes if you need more precision for certain programs. My only problem so far is that the side buttons don't seem to work on my Macbook Air (but work on my windows & linux machines). Perhaps I just need to calibrate the settings.
