NEEDS CARE TO USE FOR COUNTER CLIPPING
Agree with other reviewers: It works but care is needed as it is too easy to missalign the item you are clipping

Heavy Duty Construction, Cuts Great Rounded Corners On Cardboard Game Counter Playing Pieces
I've now used this punch cutter to round the corners of 1000s of Advanced Squad Leader game playing piece counters. The punch cutter is easiest to use upside down as this allows you to see that you have the piece centered prior to punching the corner. It's heavy duty construction allows ease of use and is comfortable enough to cut 100s of pieces in one sitting.Very happy with this purchase!

Love this thing
Before I used these things I didn't care one way or another about whether my counters were unshorn or not. Now, I cannot go back. This tool is fantastic. While I have not clipped anywhere near as many counters as my contemporaries, of the many hundreds I've done they have all come out looking immaculate. Definitely glad I took the plunge. I would suggest the more robust models for older hands or just spacing out your clipping sessions.

Over-priced POS
I bought this to clip cardboard game pieces and thankfully tested it extensively on blanks before committing it actual game pieces. The pieces fit fine for thickness, but no matter how I positioned a piece in the cutter, one edge was invariably shaved at an angle instead of having the corner clipped. This is NOT a precision-engineered product so if you need a precise cut, do not buy one of these.I really wish I would've tested it sooner as now it's too late to return (stupid me). I will never use this again and will probably throw it away as I have no other use for it.Update: tried it again using 5/8” counters from a game published in 2021. It worked well enough, but still had the strange 4th corner issues where it shaves off a little more than the others. At least it’s not as noticeable vs the 1/2” counters…

It doesn't look like much but this thing is legit.
Some of the parts look like they were run off a rough-cut assembly line dedicated to churning out as many low-quality products in as little time as possible, but looks are definitely deceiving here. There's some real weight to the front end- it almost feels like you're hefting a small hammer when you pick it up. The spring inside the punch is resilient without being impossible to compress, so even if one has a weaker grip squeezing it shouldn't pose too much difficulty. Don't worry about losing your grip due to the balance or the resistance in the spring, either; the soft rubber grips on the handles are perfect. The punch itself goes through card stock like butter which is all I needed it to do. If I had something thicker to test it on, for the sake of this review, I would. Be sure to play with it a little before you apply it to serious projects since the exact alignment of the punch does take some getting used to. Fantastic buy. If I ever need a replacement I'll definitely get another one of these.
