So on my car in particular (96 Mercury cougar) the halogen lights come out and the leds actually unscrew from the housing they come with which i new reading reviews and its in the instructions what gets confusing is how it assembled I couldn’t figure out how to put it together with my headlight retainer which on my car was like an open cap with 3 fins on it after playing around i came to realize how stupid i was and that all i had to do was put the piece that screwed off the light and that goes where your old bulb goes and the retainer ring screws in around that and then the headlight screws back in very simple once I realized that i dont know what the longevity is because i just installed them but they are definitely significantly brighter at least compared to what i had they wont be like newer car with factory leds bright but there bright and the high beams show a difference from the low beams as we’ll definitely a fair product I really liked how it was designed and screwed into the fixture so to speak thats held into the retainer ring it seems like its a double sense of security Id definitely recommend if u have old school lights on an older car like i did

I received the headlights and put them in. It was so easy anyone could do it. All I did was put them in where the old headlights were and they connected just exactly like the ones I was replacing. I started my car so I could check them out and make sure they were working. They are perfect. The brightness of the bubs are amazing. They illuminate everything so well and light up the road for quite a distance. Let me just say that it was the easiest install I have ever had to do. It literally took me 10 minutes from start to finish. I definitely recommend these bulbs for anyone looking to buy new ones. Well built and I love the fact that if you put in in the wrong direction, just twist 180 degrees while inside housing and it’s perfect. No more having to fuss with taking in and out of light housing. Very bright no dark spots.
