Felt I was deceived. All photos show 2 pillows. All descriptions are in the plural. Very misleading. Would never have paid that much for one pillow. I would return it if it wasn’t so cumbersome to ship. I have other Peacock Alley products I love but this is not one. In addition to the bad value the pillow is hard.

I’m writing this review later, after using pillow for few months. The quality of the pillow and pillow cover is beautiful, and after several washes the cover did not shrink, like it happened with other brands, however the pillow starts develop lumps and doesn’t seams like anything can be done about it. Too expensive for this to happened so soon.

Pillow was too thick.

The media could not be loaded.  I really like this pillow and will be using it, BUT it has one odd quirk that might be a dealbreaker for some people: the material used for the inner liner seems similar to kind you’d see in a real down pillow—that stiffer material that’s designed to keep the feathers from poking through. Which is a very strange choice for a pillow where you’re not dealing with actual feathers. If you’re familiar with it, though, it makes that kind of papery crinkly sound. I’m used to it with down and it doesn’t bother me at all, but I could see it being too annoying for some. The sound is *slightly* muted with the protective cover and/or a pillowcase over the insert… but only slightly.Aside from the noise (which again, isn’t really an issue for me), I find it very comfortable. I sleep mostly on my side and back, and the height has been good for both of those. It has a nice combination of the sink you get from down without being so airy that your head sinks all the way down to the mattress. There’s a good support after the initial sink that doesn’t feel too firm, and you can still squish the pillow up between your head and shoulder if you like to create that cushion around your face. It also doesn’t immediately bounce back up like cheaper poly fill pillows, so it molds around your head nicely. In the past, I’ve gone back and forth between very squishy down/down alternative pillows and memory foam pillows (both the solid block and the shredded foam kind), and this seems like it combines the benefits of both—squishy and moldable with a little more structure and support.Another slightly odd thing: There’s a care/materials tag on the protective cover but not on the insert itself… so I guess you just want to follow washing instructions for general down alternative pillows?I’ve only used it for a few nights so I can’t speak to how well it will hold up over time; but assuming nothing weird happens over the next few weeks/months, I would consider buying another one.

The pillow is very well made, very nicely finished, the removable cover is nice, strong, and thick, yet soft and smooth to the touch. I have a preference of extra firm mattresses, and thick pillows. This one soothes my needs. It isn't supper hard, but it is nice and thick, and provides good support, without letting you sink into the depths of it. I took a picture of my current pillow and the Peacock Alley on the right - it's almost double in height. I like it alot. The hypoallergic feature is important to me, I always buy down alternative. I like the removable protective cover that could be washed - I never wash my pillows, I use protective covers, and when I feel that the pillow is worn out, I buy a new one. Washing down alternative makes it clump together. I am happy with this pillow, and hope it will stay as is for long.
