Honestly, I bought this for Hurricane Ian expecting it to die in a week. For pretty cheap price I get a little radio, something to charge my phone on the go, and a pretty decent flashlight when you let out the dogs. All around pretty good and if the battery dies on you unlike a lot of the products that are similar you can buy a replacement.

Like others, I bought this radio because of storms. I live in middle Tennessee and we tornadoes too frequently. I like everything about this radio except the instructions say one of the ways to recharge the battery is to crank the radio for one minute at 130 rpm. I’m 73, and that’s not going to happen. I’m making this review so that others will know what the “cranking requirement” is. Otherwise, I love the tiny radio and all its gadgets.

I was really impressed by this device... I was surprised at how small it is, but then again, if it gets the job done and doesn't take up a bunch of space, all the better, right? I'm actually going to buy a few for family over the holidays - that's how much I liked it!

Bought this for my sister over 2 years ago and she finally had to use. She lives in Lakeland, Florida and lost power during hurricane Ian and for days afterwards. She was able to use the radio for critical up-to-date weather/news info and recharge 2 phones. Provided some peace-of-mind. I'll be getting more of these for myself and family members

The tuning is imprecise with both significant backlash and "stick/slip" in the tuning. One can't easily get to a station easily. The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired, sensitivity is marginal. The lighting is okay, the batteries are good and take a lot of cranking to charge. It does work with all these limitations and can be a lifesaver in an emergency. It is both inexpensive and cheaply built, but it's one of the lowest cost functional units on the market.

I just got this Radio yesterday after a long wait....over one (1) month. However, I really love this little radio.I was a bit confused at first because I charged it overnight, and in the morning, it would not work. I turned on the radio, but got nothing. I thought it was defective, and I was going to ask for a refund.But then I noticed the Battery Compartment, and I decided to try it with the three (3) AAA batteries installed. Then it worked. So, I was still going to return it because I already have plenty of radios that work on Battery Power.However, you need to understand that on the Bottom of this Radio, there is a switch to change it from AAA Battery Power to Lithium-Ion Battery. It came preset to AAA Battery....why I do not know. So, this thing actually works great on both power sources. This is great because I can use the AAA Battery Power while the Internal Power Bank is being charged.It can also work on solar power, but the instructions are pretty clear that Solar Power is only intended to keep the Lithium-Ion Battery from dissipating faster. Solar will not likely be enough to power it or fully charge it as well. That is why it has a Hand-Crank to manually charge the radio.So many options to keep power on, you have to love it. Great product, guys...thanks for developing this little gem, at an affordable price on top of that!

I’m not upset, just disappointed.Functionally, it’s all there. The radio can cleanly tune, the crank and solar panel do indeed generate electrical power, the lights illuminate, and there is a 18650 battery compartment.Construction-wise, it feels like it was built cheaply and doesn’t merit the price that I paid over the base models. The volume and tuning knobs have several millimeters of wobble in them, the switches do not firmly seat in their mechanical positions, and the assembly has a rattle if gently shaken. I could absolutely see this breaking if dropped from 4 feet off the ground.Usability-wise, it also fell short. Again, it performs its base functions, but it is tedious and not necessarily appropriate for an emergency setting. The 18650 battery compartment is screwed shut, meaning you now need a screwdriver if accessing those batteries is ever important. The tuning knob is highly sensitive, the reading light and motion sensor are wasteful features, and the housing is large in my big hands and without any type of strap/handle. This product is more burdensome than it needs to be.I plan to return this and sample a different product. This is clearly a product that is not intended to stay in the marketplace for long.

I have bought 2 other radios before this trying to get a radio that actually works in my area. Last two before this were returned because of no reception or other issues.. This is one that actually gets stations and picks up my local weather band station. Its loud with the SOS.. I would rate it 5 stars but the dials are a bit tight to turn. I believe Im going to be happy with this. It charged fast with only a crank but will placing the backup batteries as well. It has many features and its a keeper this time..

As we don't let her near computers and cell phones, I bought this for my granddaughterwho likes to turn knobs and press buttons and then realized that it is a portable music boxfor her. She loves to hang it over her shoulder and dance! All other features, light, handcrank, etc. work perfectly.Great product. Dropped it numerous times already. Seems not to be a problem.

Love this little Esky radio, just owning a radio of this type is an absolute must. Great having three options to charge, plus AAA battery option! Tuner is small to operate yet quite sensitive, picking up stations rather far. Sound is alright, LED flashlight and reading light are just fine. Playing with this radio makes me wish I had shortwave, so I'll upgrade someday. Well worth the price, and it does have rubber covered ports making it weather resistant somewhat, most at this price are not water resistant.

Compact, sturdy, radio signal is strong. Solar charged on my sunny windowsill, usb is charging it totally as I write. Flashlight is strong as is the under solar light. I plugged my phone in and it began charging immediately. The crank worked and feels sturdy. I'm a happy person!

I love all the features this radio has but.... The radio works but isn't great. It doesn't pick up stations well. I struggle to pick up a local station in the town I live in. I can get the weather station for my area but again it isn't great. When I first used the radio, the reading light was always on. I have to keep an elastic around the solar panel to keep the light from coming on and draining the battery. The black button on the top slides inside when I press it to turn the light on. A bit annoying to have to fix it all the time. I am going to look for a different radio that is a little better quality.
