This is a one-size fits all support belt that wraps around the waist and fastens with a Velcro closure. The Velcro is a very high quality one. It holds well all through whatever activity you're wearing the belt for. The belt material is flexible and fairly breathable, and keeps its shape very well. I followed the advice to wash it before wearing it, and that does help bring down the 'new thing' smell much faster. Furthermore, the belt survived the washing machine with no issues. The belt material is thin enough to wear under most street clothes with nobody being the wiser that you're wearing a support belt. I don't think it could be hidden easily under bodycon fashions, but under jeans and t-shirts it stays demure. It does cause some sweating under the belt, but the material wicks it off so it doesn't mar your clothes. I use it for walking the dog, and it offers light support that keeps the back pain very manageable. I used to have trouble reaching my own feet to take off sneakers after a walk, but now I only wince a little bit. If you need stronger support then you need the type of belt that has suspenders on it, but for light activity this works fine. 08/31/16 edit: I am upgrading this from 4 to 5 stars because the effects are cumulative. The more often you use the belt, the more the pain decreases. 03/08/19 edit: Editing again to mention that the belt I bought was not the inflatable one currently under this listing. It was a Velcro support band only, and it is still in great shape for what that's worth.

this is the third one of these I've had,, NONE have lasted a year,, for the year they do work and help with my back a lot.. They all have gotten a hole in them that you can not repair,, so it just won't hold air.. I recommend them for the relief they give,, I condemn them for there short life span.

Icould give decent relief of an hour or so at a time. I found I could not work in it nor sleep in it. I rated it at 4 because it did give instant relief, but not permanent relief.

This is a great product for the price. I wanted to try a reasonable back brace to see if it helped me before I thought about investing in a more expensive one. This fits snugly and comfortably and is very adjustable. I did notice the neoprene smell when I first put it on but by the next day it was gone, even without washing. I don't know how it compares to the other, more expensive back braces but I am very happy with the support it gives.
