One of our cats is being treated for cancer, which means in addition to the chemo pill, she gets steroids (prednisilone), an antacid (because steroids can cause acidity), and an antinausea (ondansetron, because chemo can induce some nausea).If you were to administer FOUR meds individually, your patience -and the cat's patience- would be severely tested. Using these capsules, you can split or crush the drugs you're allowed to (NOT the chemo pill) and put them inside this capsule. This means on chemo days I'm giving just TWO pills - the chemo and the others crushed inside this capsule.BONUS: if the cat spits it out, you're not left with a soaked, unusable pill. The capsule doesn't easily dissolve so you and kitty can try again.ADDITIONAL BONUS: these capsules have some "body" to them, so when you go to close the capsule after filling they don't buckle, and will close nicely.PRO TIP: If you're doing this you may want to get the Aozita 2 Pack Lab Spatula - Micro Lab Spoon/Scoop to spoon the drug into the capsule, as well as the Ezy Dose Pill Crusher and Grinder which can split or crush meds.

These are junk. They are not size 4 - a few were, but most were a bit smaller. My dog has to take RX meds that I have to put in capsules or she won't take. I discovered as I put these in a Capsuline Tray only a FEW were actually size 4 - all the rest were a bit smaller!! If they are "certified" I'm be very concerned who Capsules Express is using for their calibrations and quality standards. JUNK!

Says it is size 4 but when came was larger than size 3. Not accurate description. I kept them because it wasn't worth the trouble to try to return and get another size. Was clean and came a day earlier than expected. Green pill in picture is a size 3.

These are not too hard to fill and put together. I use a syringe as a funnel. They hold just under 1/16 tsp. They are working well for my cat's disgusting medicine.

I specifically use this size 4 for puppies and for dogs who need natural immune supplementation and the size works perfectly. They also freeze very well so I can just throw the capsule in their food and it automatically just gets swallowed without a thought.I can't find this size in my town so need to order online. I'm happy to have that ability but I do find they are a bit overpriced. I was happy to find that they're on the amazon subscribe & save program.

This is absolutely perfect for (adult) cat medication!Our cat (large, adult, 13lb) needed some steroid pills once a day, and these gelcaps helped significantly. Our cat is quite clever, and will hide pills under his tongue and spit them out when we aren't looking. Considering we have to give him three pills a day, you can imagine how tedious this has become.Thankfully, these gel caps help immensely with that issue. His medication is slick and smooth, easily moved around in his mouth and hidden under a tongue. However, these gel caps start to stick a little bit the moment they get wet, and are too large to hide under his tongue - which means his only options are to swallow the pills!Combined with a pill-shooter (basically an small air tube / syringe that pops the pill directly into their mouth) pill time now takes less than a minute.Four stars instead of five because we recieved less than the full pill quantity. (Still more gel caps than we will ever need)

I bought these after reading a suggestion on how to get partial (1/4 regular dose) pills into my cat without a big fuss. She could taste the medicine in her food, never mind on her tongue, and it was getting really difficult. Now we use these capsules to put the partial pill in and everything goes much quicker. Plus we can set up each partial dose as soon as we split the pills. They work great, all of the capsules were intact when the package arrived and I really appreciate the 100 count package, especially in size 4. I will definitely purchase here again if needed.
